I wanted to play golf in Nassau but Disney doesn't offer any golf excursions for this port.
The excursion desk provided me with a list of 3 courses I could play. They would/could not set up a t-time for me. I called from my stateroom...4 minutes...$27. I got off the ship with my clubs in the rain and got a taxi after asking 10 drivers to take a single to Cable Beach. $20. I played the course after 2pm to get the twilite rate. $70 plus $5 tip. Cab back to port $20. So, it cost $142 for me to golf. The before 2pm t-time was $140 plus all the other costs.
Don't you think DCL could offer/negociate a golf excursion in Nassau cheaper then what I paid?
I talked to the excursion director onboard and he said that they want a golf course up to disney standards. Cable beach although short was one of the prettiest courses I ever played (they are just finishing making this an 18 hole course) It is about 20 minutes away (It's run by Raddison). The South Beach course is 30 minutes away.
The excursion director said these were to far away for Disney to have some control if something happend. He also said they'd like to have access to the Atlantis golf course but Atlantis is not interested. I could have joined the Atlantis golf course(private) and played but that cost was $500.
It just seems to me that at the cost of a DCL vacation, DCL could offer something for golfers on the 3 day Wonder. They do offer golf on the 4 day Wonder when it goes to Freeport and also on the 7 day magic, but nothing for the 3 day Wonder. I think DCL should add a golf excursion in Nassau......spruce

I agree. When our kids wanted to stay onboard during Nassau day, my husband looked into golfing for a few hours. He didn't want to put too much effort into it and since it was so involved he just didn't bother. If DCL had a nice shuttle set up and made golf excursions available he definately would have tried it. The Bush family managed to golf all day in Nassau, wonder how they did it? HAH! Anyhow, it would be something different for repeat cruisers who have already seen everything they want to in Nassau.

Kasar, that was my thought. This was our 3rd Disney cruise to Nassau so, I was looking for something new to do. Since I just took up golf this summer and there's been snow here, I thought it would be a blast to golf in Nassau. BTW, the greens were so nice. It must be a different kind of grass then I have putted on before....spruce
