No food court @ Poly, how to get quick meals for kids?

I will be at the Poly during Christmas week with a 3YO and a 12YO. We are used to having food courts during our stay so the youngest does not have to sit through a long dinner. What options/suggestions are there, other than room service?

Captian Cook's snacks has meals like pizza and chicken fingers for the kids. Actually pretty good too.

It is also open 24 hours a day!

We ate here for breakfast every morning. Hot items available, but we did bagels, muffins, or cereal with bananas. Also bought the refillable mugs here, with drinks available 24/7.

Just beware of the extremely smart birds by the pool. They know how to open the plastic containers the food comes in. Don't leave anything without a human guard!

I believe you can also get food from Kona's to go. Please if i have this wrong correct me. You might want to try the pizza thur room service also, it is reasonably priced and is as good as Papa Johns pizza. Yes, Kona Cafe' offers take-out, but I wouldn't consider any of their meals "Snacks"... although I don't clearly recall their appetizer menu... but they do offer take-out.

Yes, Kona does do take out...and it worked out great for a light lunch for us. We got sticky wings and took them out by the pool to eat. It was perfect.

Captain Cook's has wonderful pastries, muffins, and Krispie Kreame donuts for a quick breakfast (as well as milk, juice, coffee). We loved the cream cheese danish, they are huge and around $2.50 I think. Donuts were 99 cents. Also, the coffee bar beside the Kona has donuts and pastries, a quick place to grab breakfast on the way to the monorail. We also took Milk and Cereal bars in our fanny packs, we ate them in line for Dumbo and drank water from our Brita bottle! Enjoy the Polynesian, we did!

You can also head over to the GF or CR pretty easily. Neither has great snack bar options (the Deluxes don't - they seem to assume you'll sit down for the majority of your meals - just like the All Stars assumes you wouldn't want to), but will provide a little variety.

If it were me (from experience) snack bar food gets old fast. Make some PSs. Ohana's is a buffet, so you can get your three year old in and out fast.
