No fireworks music at the Poly??

Is it true that the fireworks music isn't available in-room at the poly? or was I given bad info?

I had a AWESOME lake view room this past week for one night in a studio (third floor - and the view was incredible) - so good we changed plans to watch the fireworks from the room. When they started, I couldn't find the audio on the TV - so I called (I know, doesn't go to the real desk, but if I had walked there - the fireworks would have been over) and was told that the Poly doesn't do that - the Grand Floridian does, and the Contemporary do...but not the Poly.

Is this true? Why not? The view was awesome, but no music for the firework is ridiculous.

This was on a Halloween Party night - so maybe that's the reason? They still pipe it all over everywhere else, so doesn't seem a stretch for in room...

Hoping I was given bad info - I would totally do the lake view again, but will rethink if no fireworks music.

I'd have sworn we had it in our room. That was 3 years ago or so though when we had lakeview rooms. I cranked it up on the TV so we could hear it as we sat out watching on our patio. Had the last 2 rooms on the ground floor at the TTC end of Moorea.
