Bummer! I guess these things are getting harder & harder to come by. Sure wish they'd allow the dinner package at all the sit-down restaurants at DHS.

I called yesterday for the Brown Derby Fantasmic dinner package for May 10th and they were sold out. Had to settle for a regular dinner reservation. Those Fantasmic packages go fast!

Definitely keep calling back.. especially on the 90 day mark of the day you want to go (or every day which is 90 days from a day you are there because the CM told me they open up more tables).

I really wanted the MM Fantasmic Package but the only options were Brown Derby and H&V. While I didn't want to burn 2 TS on the Brown Derby, I know the 5yo in my party really is looking forward to Fantasmic so its worth it so we got a 4:20pm at the BD.

Call every day at 7am and check on that MM Package! Good luck!

Yes I called on the 90 day mark at about 9 am .... I couldn't believe it sold out so quickly! I guess you have to call RIGHT at 6am. Well, it was a Saturday for me and I just couldn't pull myself out of bed ;)

That also happened to me when I called a couple of weeks ago. I called right at 7:00 at my 90 day mark and could not get ONE of the fantasmic packages. I have been calling every day since and nothing has opened up. I was hoping for Mama Melrose but when that was not available I tried for Brown Derby and the cm said that all 3 places where booked. I am also so upset that I called when I could and was not able to get anything. I know it has to do with Fantasmic only showing twice a week but this is crazy. We are going with family that have never been to Disney and I don't think that I want to waste a lot of time getting to the show 2 hours ahead of time just to get seats. My family will only be there for 4 nights and this is the only night that it is showing. I got a reservation for Sci-Fi at 5:50 so that may not even give us enough time to get to the 8:30pm show. We may have to just miss it unless I can get a cancellation. :confused3 :confused3

Wow, I really feel for you guys. That really stinks. I have a feeling we'll be let down as well. Seems like you call the first day you can and call early the dates are still booked because there are so few of F! dates. We'll I have decided that I'll try for MM's and if they are booked then the heck with it forget F! and I'll enjoy a much better meal at Prime Time.

Not sure if we will wait 2 hours for a show we only will be spending one day at DS.

My ADR date is coming up on March 1. I can't figure out what is true about Fantasmic dinner package. Some people have said that the waiting line is the same as everyone else and others have said that some people with the F! package aren't even guaranteed a seat (many are left standing). With it being so difficult to book, I would like to know the real story before I try to get reservations for my family. We have loved the F! package in past.

The good thing about skipping Fantasmic! is that we find the lines to the rides to be much shorter during the show!!!

Good luck to all trying to get reservations.

We also could not get the FDP for our upcoming trip in May. I decided it was probably a blessing in disguise. While 3000+ people are waiting in line and in the show for 2+ hours, we are planning to take advantage of less people in the park and hopefully get on some of the more popular attractions without much of a wait.

For me, it's not worth having to eat super early and pay extra in most cases to do so, and then still have to wait at least an hour in line to hopefully get a seat in a packed amphitheater. We saw Fantasmic on our last trip and we're planning to skip it this time.

I have read some reports of people with F! "reserved" seating showing up at F! 30-45 minutes ahead of time and being told they will have to stand. The "reserved" seating is being overtaken by other guests due to the limited showings of F! and the CMs haven't been able to hold the people back. When the reserved guests do stand, they are then being yelled at by other guests. Now, this could have been a few fluke days, but I can only imagine how infuriating that would be.

I called at the 90 day mark of our trip for May and got everything except the MM Fantasmic . When I asked the CM if I had a better chance calling exactly 90 days before the date she just said that it was full and no they do not hold back spots for these dates at all!
I guess we all just have to keep calling and hoping for the best. Good Luck everyone!!!

My 90 day window was yesterday, and realizing there are only 3 Fantasmic shows during the week I'll be there, it was the first reservation I made (even though it will be the 6th day of my 8 day stay).

When making my ADR's, I usually start with the first day I arrive and go forward. Not this time. I figured I'd better start with MM F!, and I got it.

Tip for Booking:
First off, anyone thinking about MM for this package must find out which nights Fantasmic is showing during their stay. Don't call and ask. That will just waste time while others are booking it. Know the dates before you call, and pick the LAST possible one you can attend(farthest from your arrival date). Call right at 7am Eastern (whatever that time translates to wherever you are) when WDW-DINE opens on the day your 90+10 day window starts. Make this reservation first.

The reason you should pick the LAST possible F! date of your stay is because the other shows earlier in the week will be within the 10 day window of people able to book up to 10 days before you! If you pick the last possible date, there are less persons who would be eligible to book this package based on the ADR rules. This will increase your odds dramatically and hopefully you'll get it. Good Luck.:goodvibes

I called at exactly 6:00am CT at 90 days out, but the only time available at Mama Melrose was 3:55pm. It was the first ADR I made. I too asked if later times might open up at exactly 90 days out and was told no, not anymore, since Fantasmic is only 1-2 nights/week. Now to hear that people who are booking the Fantasmic pkg are still not getting in to see the show sounds bad, as well as unfair. Where's the value in even getting the pkg now, that they've done away with the special entrance for the voucher holders?:confused3

We must have been really lucky because I called 90 days + 10 out and got our brown derby fantasmic package for 445pm. I even slept in mby accident that morning so I didn't call until 2 hours after they had opened. We wven asked for it 4th on our list because we were not even sure if we wanted to do fantasmic. I hope you all have some luck when you call back.

This is basically what I did except that the first ADR I made was for Le Cellier, then I asked about MM FDP and I got it for 4:30. Now you guys are making me nervous thinking I wont even get a seat unless I get there an hour earlier. I guess it is better than 2 hours earlier but still. I wonder why they took away the special entrance? :confused3

My understanding is they still have the entrance, but somehow unreserved guests are still getting in and taking over the spot. This is the article I read and I have also heard private accounts of the same scenario.

I wonder if anyone at Disney has thought of making F! available ONLY through a dinner package. I'm sure they would fill the stadium, especially if they opened it up to include all TS meals at HS. Then everyone would need a voucher just to get into the ampitheatre and it would no longer be overrun, there would no longer be a need to line up 2 hours in advance, since everyone would be guaranteed to get in (although those last 2500 guests would be stuck at standing room only). Plus they would fill the TS places up, too.

Just a thought. Wonder if there's any way to send this idea to Disney....

BTW, I was able to get my ADR for the MM F! package by calling exactly at 7AM on the 90+10 and asking for that meal first.

Does anyone know what the timing of your ADR should be if you are lucky enough to get one? Like if the show begins at 8:00, would your dinner have to be no later than 5:00?

We saw Fantasmic in 8/08. It was my fourth time seeing it and I enjoyed it the most. Every other time we saw it, we sat near the top of the stadium so we could make a quick get-away after the show. This August, we got there late and could get seat only in the front. We were the third row up from the first and being close to the stage was a whole other experience. We loved it!

I want to go again and sit up front, but these stories about how crowded it's gotten scare me. I wonder if they'll adjust the schedule to more showings for the summer months.

I had the same problem for our stay in April. There will be 3 of us and couldn't get into any of the F! restaurants any of applicable dates. But, one res. agent told me that there were tables for two available at Brown Derby and that I could book a res. for 1 and another for 2, then try to get seated together when we show up. So that's what I did. Would not have thought of this had the agent not suggested it.
