No Fall Fantasy for 2003???

I just got off the phone with CRO and the CM told me that she was pretty sure that there are going to be no fall fantasy packages offered in 2003. Has anyone else heard this?

Give it some time. They usually are not released until the summer.

In August 2001 we got a fall fantasy package for September 2002. I just figured they were coming out later this year. However, a CM told me they weren't even going to offer it for next fall. I was a little surprised that it wasn't going to be offered but I have also received bad or incorrect information from CRO in the past so maybe this is incorrect too?

While there are some good deals to be had, it seems like it has become harder to book a discounted room well in advance. The positive side about all these codes is that there are excellent discounts to be had without any strings attached. (No club membership or annual passes required.) The negative side is that the codes seemed to be released just prior to the eligible dates. This makes it difficult to plan ahead. Disney has been hard hit by the economy in general and by the woes of the travel industry specifically. It seems they are trying to sell as many rooms as possible at rack rates to make up for their lower revenues and then then they resort (no pun intended!) to the discount codes at the last minute.

I'm afraid that with the demise of the Disney Club, it's only going to get worse. Is the AAA rate the only remaining discount that allows the ability to plan ahead?

I just called CRO a couple of days ago to check on the fall fantasy pkg. for Sept. 2003. I was told it was too soon and to keep checking back. I was able to book it the past two years around Jan./Feb. for the Sept. stay.

I hope it doesn't go away - it saved us a lot of money. Sue
