No Dining Plan

First off, this coming May will be my family's first trip to Disney...Ever! I went one when I was too young to remember. We are staying off site, so we can't do the dining plan. Any suggestions on restaurants to eat at??

Let us know specifically what you like and how many in your party.....I am actually going to move this to our regular restaurant board as it is not really a dining plan question.

if you have small children in your group, then maybe a buffet for a table service restaurant would be a good idea....that way you walk in give your drink order and go up to the buffet....some have great characters and some dont....
