I would like t0 a character meal to help celebrate my dd2 b-day! We are not big breakfast eaters( usually just muffin, cereal people) We aren't opposed to a breakfast meal either because the are less expensive. We just what like to know the best, inexpensive character meal, for an almost 3 year old.

Our favorites are Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet or Cape May Cafe for breakfast with Minnie, Goofy & Donald. We're not big on the Disney lunch or dinner buffets...find the food to be mediocre at best and service not so good. If you go to allearsnet you can find the prices of all the buffets.

Make a late breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace and treat it like a brunch. :thumbsup2

Every time we have done this, we were offered to graze the lunch items, too, for the breakfast $.

I totally agree with posts above. CP is awesome! Fav breakfast/restaurant at Disney

Another vote for Crystal Palace. My husband is not a big breakfast eater and he always enjoys this place. The made to order omelets are yummy!!!

I think it would all depend on the child. At almost 3 my oldest DD was already into princesses and my DS was obsessed with Mickey so that would weigh heavily in making our choice. But CP is a wonderful character meal and if your DD really has no preference then I'd go with it.

Decide what characters you want to meet and go from there. I agree that a late breakfast is best. If you are going to one that is inside a park be at the park for rope drop and then you can have a couple hours in the park before your ADR. At that time you will be ready for a little break. Then you can have an early dinner and the budget won't be too bad.

We've gone to the last breakfast seating at Crystal Palace several times and it was great! All the 100-Acre Woods characters, right in the MK, and we treat it like a lunch. We get up early and tour the MK while it's less crowded, then head over to CP. We do this because we prefer the breakfast buffets to the lunch and dinner ones.;)

crystal palace is nice,, never been for breakfast but have been for lunch.. we aren't big breakfast people,,lol..

tusker house at animal kingdom is really nice and the food is real good.. they had donald, mickey, daisy and goofy dressed in safari!!!

my kids fave though is ohana breakfast w/ stich,, lilo,, mickey and pluto!!!

last trip we did enjoy 1900 park fare,, cindy, prince charming,, wicked step mom and sisters!!!!

I know I am no help,, love it all!!!!!

If you do Crystal Palace, try for an 8:05 ADR, that way you are on Main Street before the rope drops.

We just did Tusker House and thought the food as great! The characters are fun for a 3 yea-old too.

We also did the princess breakfast at Akershus, but that is definitely not the least expensive option.

We liked Ohana with Lilo and Stitch. The character interaction was terrific. Stitch was very fun and playful. The food is served to you, so you don't have to worry about missing a character while standing in the buffet line. My daughter liked meeting Pooh and Friends at CP, but the meal took forever. We didn't get seated until 30 min. after our 10:20 ADR time, then the meal took a long time, mostly waiting for the characters. We wound up having to ask to see Tigger and Eeyore after an hour into the meal and they hadn't stopped at our table. Not a lot of fun with antsy kids.

It just depends on what your child is in to, but you have several good choices. Some of our favorites were:
Tusker House (Donald, daisy, Mickey, and Goofy)
Storybook Breakfast (princess)
Ohana (Lilo, Stitch,Mickey)

These were all wonderful and reasonably priced.

She is in to all the characters!:rotfl: When I ask who she wants to eat w/ she will say yes to whoever is at that particular restaurant! Last year was really into Minnie and Mickey, this year she is all over the place! I think she would be happy with whatever characters are there. I just want the best food, least expensive, and most variety that is offered! I will have 15yo and 13yo too.

I do not like typical breakfast fare so have not been thrilled with most of Disney's character breakfasts. However, I love Tusker House breakfast. They have so many choices that are not typical breakfast fare. We make a late ADR and that's our brunch/lunch instead. And I don't have to eat pancakes, eggs, pork breakfast meat, etc.

As far as the restaurant itself goes our favorite is Ohana....we loved the food and having it served is really nice and relaxing. We found the atmosphere to be fun and the character interaction was great. We have done them all except the one in AK and the only one we have repeated was Ohana. It is a must do for us.

We really enjoyed O'hana last year. I'm not a big breakfast person but the food was really good. And I really enjoyed the food being brought to our table. That was so much more convenient with a little one in tow.

How much time will it take to get to the POLY from another resort? (ASMO) I'm still not sure where we are eating yet leaning toward Ohana and Crystal Palace. Maybe tusker house too:confused3 I don't know !

i think tusker house or ohana will be best...

poly from the all stars,,, take a bus to mk then monorail to poly,, unless you have a car.. doesn't take long..
