No Characters At Liberty Tree

Has anyone heard about the characters not being at Liberty Tree any longer? I have reservations for Dec 20.

Effective January 5, 2009 LTT will no longer be a character dining experience. You'll be fine in December

Has anyone heard what the menu will be? I will be adding Liberty Tree to my list of ADRs for January, but would like to see the menu first--maybe it will be the same as the lunch menu. I'm excited to have a new place to eat dinner at that doesn't have characters!

Ohhh...I'm hoping they go back to their old original menu from when i was younger. We LOVED it there until they changed it to a character meal

I believe that Goofy is still at Chef Mickey's at the very least.

I was pretty young but my parents still talk about loving the dinners at Liberty Tree and how they miss the old style before it turned into a character meal. I remember they had a thanksgiving dinner but I really don't think it was family style? I could be wrong and if it was, it was much better than it is now. We tried it as a character meal a few years back and all I heard was how the old way was better...blah..blah..blah...

It's been reported that the menu will remain the same, just no characters anymore.

I believe that Goofy is still at Chef Mickey's at the very least.

Cape May breakfast also.

Goofy was at the character breakfast at AK but not sure since they moved it to Tusker House.

I hear ya, my family absolutely love LTT for the characters and the food. My DH is going to be so dissapointed.

LTT has bee na long standing tradition for DH and myself. We've eaten there at least 10 times in the years we've been going to WDW together. When I heard about the character meal being dismissed, I grew quite sad.

I made sure our trip last weekend included LTT. You know...this place has really gone down hill IMHO. It took us 45 minutes to be seated (we did arrive 10 minutes prior to our ADR time). The service was terrible (he was friendly but the poor guy had SOOOO many tables we hardly saw him) and the food only so-so. I remember when I LOVED the salad and LOVED the mashed potatoes. Not so much any longer. I almost wish we passed on the meal and ate more F&W. At least we had one last meal and had some great interaction with Pluto and Goofy (including Goofy tripping up the stairs and losing a shoe ).
