Took out the background info bc I wasn't getting responses. Is there now a $65 charge for any package changes AFTER online check in (within the 60 days) but BEFORE final payment?

So this is correct? There is a charge for package changes before final payment bc no changes allowed after online check in?

I think you can't make changes after the 45 day mark (which is when you amount is due) without a fee. They charge you a fee to change or cancel if you do so less than 45 days before your trip.

I don't think that online check-in has anything to do with package changes. I've never heard of online check-in affecting your ability to change a package without a fee.

Does that help?

Online chi in doesn't have an effect on the fee. If you're within 45 days there is a $50 change fee if your price goes down and an additional $15 document fee if you are within 2 weeks. No fee for changing if your price goes up.

Doesn't mean that wont change as Magic+ stuff rolls out.

Yes this was our understanding. However we have had some issues with our requests and not getting them in correctly, which in turn effects our online check in. Additionally, we have made some changes to our package. My father is going back and forth about the dp. We are around 50 something days out so not in the 45 days/final payment window. We have to switch CRT to credit card if we drop it. Anyway we never received confirmations, even the new changes. My father called to find out and get things changed, add insurance. They told him there would be a $65 charge for any changes to our package once we check in. He said well we haven't made final payment yet and are not in the 45 days. They told him once you check in any changes are $65 regardless of the 45 day window.:confused3

I have been helping a coworker plan their first trip to WDW. They made their room requests the tried and true way of adding them to their reservation when they booked. They did their online checkin at 54 days out, just because it was something to do.:rotfl2: They did not make any room requests during online checkin. At 49 days out, they wanted to change their reservation and added 2 days on the back end. There was no change fee to do that.:thumbsup2

Thank you it didn't sound right but my dad had 2 people tell him that. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised bc we can't get our reservation to say connecting rooms. Everyone is very nice but it just keeps saying adjoining.

This is the 5 th trip I have booked. But the 1st time we are having issues. 2 trips ago we went with my parents and had zero problems with getting our reservation to say connecting rooms, confirmations either by email or mail. That trip was two separate reservations, paid by 2 people. This trip dad is taking his grandkids (I am an only so these are his only grandkids). So one person paying but 2 rooms/ packages.
