If the scale has anything to say about this last week, it says we ate GOOD!!!
So here's the review, short and sweet...
Thursday-
Turf Club-dinner-
very nice, but actually nothing memorable. We both decided we would eat here again, but it's not a "not to be missed". I had chicken and DH had beef. Rating-B.
Friday-
The Cook, the Book and the Bottle -lunch
I really enjoyed this and will go again next year if I can. The food was delicious and I thought the proportions good. I saw Chef Fleury and tried "mussels" for the first time in my life. Interesting. Also got an excellent wine and the cookbook was signed. Rating-A
Grand Floridian Cafe-dinner
One of our "not to be missed" and did not disappoint again. I had a delicious pork chop and if I would have one complaint it would be slow service for some reason. Since this is the first time in the many times we've eaten here, I would hope it was a fluke. The chocolate ganache dessert was awesome as usual. Rating-A
Saturday-
Fresh-breakfast
excellent food. I had a delicious omelet. I do wish the buffets were not quite so pricey since I'm not the biggest eater, but the service and food were good. Rating-B
Party for the Senses-dinner
Worth every penny. The food was outstanding, the wine offerings exceptional and the entertainment lovely. We had an absolutely wonderful evening and both myself and my husband felt it the food was better than last year. Rating-A++
Sunday-
Sweet Sundays-brunch
We had an absolutely wonderful chef and this also was much better than last year. We love Sweet Sundays and will attend again. Brunch was delicious and the desserts were awesome. Our chef did such an excellent job also of teaching and explaining. Great!!! Rating-A++
World Showcase booths-dinner
both good and bad offerings as usual. We love trying the various foods, but come back to our favorites time and time again. Strudel in Germany and the American Booths always seem to have something good. Had to buy our Rice Cream from the Bakeri this year. I hope they bring back the Norway booth next year. DH liked Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and also Sam Adams Oktoberfest best. Rating-A+
Monday-
Sci Fi -lunch
fun as usual. I had a delicious burger, fries and chocolate shake. Very filling, big portions. This is not one of our "not to be missed", but it is one of our favorites. Rating-A
ESPN Club-dinner
since the Green Bay Packers won, I guess I'll give this meal an A+++++++!!!
There was a very obnoxious person at our next table who did finally get kicked out, but only after she threatened someone at our table and another family next to us left because of her and her husbands foul mouths. The staff should have kicked her out long before she became a problem. Other than that, the food was good, we had the buffalo wings and nachos and sandwiches. Rating-B
Tuesday
Whispering Canyon Cafe-brunch
Had a great time. We got the "All You Can Eat" and thought is was very good. Great atmosphere, excellent service and good food. Rating-A
The Plaza Restaurant-dinner
After having several days of rich foods, this is always a great place to go for a nice clean simple but delicious sandwich. Both DH and myself get the Club here with potato salad and it never disappoints. Rating-A+
Wednesday
Cinderella's Royal Table-brunch
The food and service were both very good. The castle always has a great atmosphere, although we never really choose this place unless someone in our party really wants to eat here, which is what happened. Rating-B+
Wolfgang Puck Cafe-dinner
One of our "not to be missed". DH always gets the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken and I always get the Pumpkin Ravioli with Chicken. Did not disappoint, YUM!!! Rating-A++
Thursday
Boardwalk Bakery-breakfast
I had the Egg and Tomato Panini which was good, although I did have to add some jam for flavor. We also had a cinnamon roll and cherry danishes which were also very good. Love sitting on the Boardwalk in the AM relaxing and eating breakfast!!! Rating-B+
Artist Point-dinner
This is our favorite restaurant at Disney World and it did not fall short this time. DH and myself had our usual salmon, the other two people we were with had the pork chops. They both said they were the best pork chops they ever had. We had the mac and cheese side, also excellent and DH had is favorite, the sweet potatoes. And this was one meal that we didn't "share" dessert. We both had to have our own "berry cobbler", YUM!!! Consistently excellent atmosphere, service and food. Rating-A+++
Another satisfied week of Disney Dining!!!
