GOAL: 11 days
3 of 11 No Spend days :thumbsup2

8-1 - ran out of the house late for work without grabbing breakfast or lunch.
6$ spent for Breakfast.

8-2 - :woohoo: no spend day # 1

8-3 - need gas & deodorant. Thought I had a spare deodorant, but I was wrong! I'll be picking that up on the way home for sure!

8-4 - :woohoo: no spend day # 2

8-5 Spent $ today *sigh* such is life. Tomorrow will probably be a spend day too (weekends are tough!)

8-6 - :woohoo: no spend day # 3!

08-07 - spent money today - ran out of some household items & couldn't resist a snack while I was out.

08-08 - $ spent today. (BUT, I had a 3.00 coupon, and it was on sale, so I saved over $5.00!)

08-09 - had to get gas. (necessary evil, but the price per gallon is killing me)

08-10 - went to pull something from the freezer for dinner, only to realise I had made it last week!  Will stop by the grocery tonight for a replacement.

Pretty close to no spend for us yesterday. DD is entering some brownies into the county fair so we had to buy two bags of peanut butter chips to try a new creation. Other than that a no spend day. Eating at home is helping us a bunch too. Yesterday was a lot of garden goodies on our table. Free food....well unless you count the seeds, organic fertilizer, labor....:rotfl:.

Today should be no spend entirely, it is DD birthday and I made her favorite breakfast, lunch will be out of the freezer and tonight she has requested tacos. I made her a little cake (she had a party this past weekend) and we will celebrate just the four of us today.

I also did some organizing in my basement pantry so I could see what I had and what I needed. My Sams membership expires this month and I think I am going to stock up and than let it non-renew. I don't think I really buy that much there these days.

Trying for 10 no buy days in this month!

8-1 $0 Stayed home most of the day- Took DD to dance in the pm
8-2 $0 Piano, Dance, Bible Study
8-3 $10 Was going to go swimming today but it looks like its gonna rain Ended up going swimming at the local pool, bought snacks and paid to get in-far cheaper than taking 2 kids to the movies!
8-4 $0!!! Went to dance in the pm
8-5 $0!! Stayed home again today Re-organized the kids room in search of clothes that still fit for school in a couple of weeks
8-6 $11 Kids did not behave at all so the movie was a no go for us. Went through a drive thru for dinner
8-7 $21 Went to see the smurf movie - 3 tickets, lg popcorn, 3 pops and 3 packs of candy.
8-8 $11 Went out to lunch with my bestie
8-9 $0! Staying home today, I feel under the weather
8-10 $140 Grocery shopping today

So far 5 No buy days!

Yesterday was a very spend day. I did a huge grocery shopping trip and stocked up on a bunch of items we needed. I met a friend for coffee. I got gas and I went to the consignment shop and dropped off some clothes to sell. While I was there I looked around and found a really pretty dress for $15. I had seen it before at Torrid when it sold for $65. I also got a pair of jeans and a jean skirt.

And the spending continues... :( Went to a teacher's garage sale today and picked up a great chair for the classroom and a few books. I was proud of myself....I put oodles back. But, because she had priced the things fairly high for a garage sale (and is a friend), I spent $45....but she gave me a set of chimes for my classroom. :)

DH went shopping when I wasn't home and bought batteries at Wal-Mart. I guess he couldn't find the dozens I just bought at Costco!

Thursday was a $0 day as I was so nervous for my interview I did not want to go anywhere.

Friday was interview day. I ended up having lunch out on the way home and stopping at my favorite consignment shop for a few items. The good news was I had $10 off from my frequent shoppers card so I got two tops and two bottoms for cheap. Plus I went to our closing Border's store and got a few things.

Saturday we went to my cousin's graduation party and stopped at the super walmart for a few needed items out near her house.

Today is a lazy day. My Grandma and Aunt are coming over later for dinner and a movie.

Just wanted to pop on and say congrats, Charming23! I'm so glad you got a job. Hope everything works out for you and that you are very happy there.

We just got back from Disney and had lots of fun! We only spent $100 extra out of pocket because we were on the meal plan, so I thought that was good. My son really wanted to eat at TRex and build a dino so we let him, and my daughter got her hair cut at the MK barbershop.

I may be back for the no-buy in Sept., but it's just too hard to have no-buy days when the kids are home with me all day. We don't spend tons, but we do stop for treats now and then. Oh, and we bought a new car because our 13 year old one was dying... so this is far from a no-buy month!

Good luck to everyone!

Charming! Yay for you! Way to persevere. I'm also planning on returning in September. I spent A LOT on the wedding and wedding weekend. It would have been foolish to track it- I had prepared for it, and I knew it would be a lot.

I'll put up a pic soon- see you in Sept!
