No backyard gardening for me

This is what my backyard looks like this spring. and that deck is sitting on the only garden I didnt have to move! this was taken before the snow fall..now it's covered in snow.

The other problem I have run into is that everything you see there is a foot of sand from the excavation...I live at the beach but I can't garden in sand...i want my dirt back..LOL

What if you plant things in planters and put it on your porch?
