No availability at Plaza for 10 people?

I've got a party of 10 and I've tried several different dates for our June trip and can't find any available ADR's at The Plaza.

Anyone know if there are certain TS locations that don't take ADR's for a party our size?
Or is it really possible that The Plaza doesn't have any times available on June 12th or June 18th?

Strange....I tried to make an ADR for the Plaza for my August trip for a party of 7 and nothing came up. It makes me wondered what was going on.

I just checked again and if I put in 4 people, there are times available for lunch and dinner on 6/18, but when I try 6 people, there is nothing.

You may have to split your party and make ressies for each segment. Try 5 and 5 first and keep breaking it down from there. Keep in mind you will likely be seated in seperate areas by doing this. The Plaza does have fairly limited options for creating a large table and I believe that is where the trouble is.

Edited to add I tried 5 and 5 and it worked.

Disney apparently does reservations by table size. For instance, if you're trying to make a reservation for a party of four, they assign you to a table for four.

If the restaurant only has 16 tables for 4, once those are gone for that time period, the system won't accept any more reservations for 4 for that time.

I don't think they have the flexibility that your local Applebees does, that if a group of 10 shows up, they can just push 3 tables together.

It may be that the Plaza doesn't have tables for 10, or that some other family has booked the ones that they do have for your dates.

As others have suggested, I'd make two reservations for 5, and then ask if it's possible to be seated together when you get to the restaurant. They may be able to put you a tables very close to each other, or even push tables together.

I'm just wondering why it seems to work differently at The Plaza. With our party size, for a lot of my ADR's, I get the warning that we may be seated at different tables. So it just seems odd that the Plaza doesn't do the same thing and let me make the reservation, but tell me that we may be at two different tables.

I tried to book for a party of 7 at the 180+10 day and still could not get a table. I can book a table for 4 or less easily. Oh well, no big deal, we are at BLT that trip so will go back to the room and make our lunch. The Plaza is not a real must do for us anymore. We are at Liberty tree the day before, which is a must do. We are flexible. I thought at first they were being refurbed, but it appears they aren't. Normally if we are a party of 6-7 it will just say we will be at 2 tables.

We had issues being seated at The Plaza as well. They just don't have many/any tables for large parties, and they can't push many of their tables together either.

Your best bet is to call Disney Dining for your reservation or to break up your party when booking online (4 4 and 2 would probably be the easiest)

We had the same problem with the Plaza Rest. for our seating of 8. They couldn't fit us at one table, so we had to split 4 + 4. When we checked in, we asked if the tables could be near each other and they said they would try. We love it there, but we have had problems waiting past our ADR times each time we have eaten there. Not sure why because when we were finally seated there were many, many tables not occupied or waiting to be cleaned off. We will continue to go there, even if we have to split up, as we love the atmosphere and quaintness of it and especially the ice cream! :lovestruc

We have a reservation for 8 in March at The Plaza. We didn't have a problem booking and we just booked in January.

It's not a must-do for us either. It's just a nice, relaxing, inexpensive TS meal.
