Just spoke w/ CM bout upcoming(10/28) trip. I asked about availability of AP codes and she went to great lengths to explain/apologize that the only AP option available now(and I know, I missed the window) was the BRP, She further went on to very clearly state there would no longer be an AP option the old fashioned way, period. She was very nice and apologized for other CM's who may not have given me this info prior(I wonder if my previous inquiries were part of my permanent record?). She was very nice and indicated pin rate mailings were going out to some and even checked my household(no luck). She was very clear that this would be the case going forward(of course all things WDW are subject to change) No good news in Mudville tonight.

Thanks for reporting! This IS a surprise to hear that your former inquires were documented! :flower:

i called friday to try to book a last minute vacation for next month. when i asked if there was an ap discount for that time the cm got very rude and told me i had to book online from now on if i want a discount blah blah blah and it has to be atleast 60 days in advance blah blah blah. i think they are giving them a paper to read off of when someone asks about any ap discounts. atlest you got a friendly one.

Never should they be rude, but I think they are just tired of so many trying to kill the messenger. ;)

When I called to book a trip in October yesterday (Saturday), the CM also said that there were no AP rates and to book I would have to go online. At the end of the booking she asked if there was anything else she could do and I told here I needed to add a day to our December trip. She pulled up the reservation and added the day and asked if I wanted to book the Candle Light Processional or Cirque and I explaned that since I couldn't get the AP rate for the trip I couldn't do either.

She said that I should "check back every few days to see if the annual pass discount is offered" and that I might get the discount for the first four days of the trip. She offered this, I didn't ask for it. Ok, I did ask if there was a discount available for the October trip and that is when she said I would have to go online to use the Best Rate Program.

There is still a lot of contridictory information being given out by the CM's when you call in.

I called and booked a room for late Sept and got an AP rate. I asked and the CM said after 10/1 I would have to use the BRP with the 60 day advance. I pointed out to her that I was booking 14 days in advance so that in the future I would not be able to book this way. I then asked her if she could note customer complaints for her supevisors and she said she could. I asked her to note that I would stay offsite if this was continued for all future late booking trips.

I will probably keep trying just so they have to note in the system why they didn't make the sale. I would expect Disney like most companies tracks these things. (I went through a period where I filed a complaint every time I called Delta about thier new automated system. As one agent told me LOTS of us were filing these complaints and it appears Delta heard us so maybe Disney will too!)

Maybe the CM I talked to noted that I didn't book the Candle Light Processional and La Nuba because of no AP discount and that there was a loss of a booking because of the lack of AP discount. Then the higher ups will have to decide which is more important: to make the money on the rooms or to make money on the extra attractions.

I realize these things get sold out anyway, but it takes more effort and takes more of the CM's time on each call to keep trying to "sell" these add-ons if people can only afford to book the room only when they call in. I would think in the past the CLP would have been sold out by now.
