So after a long grown up conversation last night, it's been decided there will be no 2014 WDW trip! :( (really sad face!)

But 2015 is definitely do-able! Yes!! :D Plus we might even be able to go for longer & do Key-West for a few days too!

How long do you guys plan for? I loved every aspect of planning this years trips & because it was our first time I feel like we missed so much!!

We didn't see wishes or the evening parade (too much rain & we didn't go back :()
No dessert party
No fairies
We didn't see the boardwalk
Or eat at any of the other resorts
We didn't use the monorail or the water taxi
Or go on characters in flight
Or Disney quest
We didn't spend a day just appreciating Disney's magic!
I'd love to get an early reservation at MK and get some quiet pictures of the castle
We didn't get an ADR for Be Our Guest!

Also I'd love to go to Busch Gardens & do the swamp tours!

I'm sure there's loads of things I've missed off that list! Is there anything else you guys recommend doing that are your little extras on holiday? Things people wouldn't normal think to do or see?

Eeek I just want to plan it all now!

We've also decided 2015 is more do-able than 2014, I want to get planning now though!

I'm sure it will come around quickly, once we can book...but until then it seems so far away!

I know! It'll hopefully soon come round but seems so far away!

Hopefully 2015 bookings will come out April next year again on WDW website to book which isn't too long away!

Best time to start planning is now. It helps you pass the time constructively. It's not all planning when so far out but keeping in touch with changes and anything new goes a long way to making the actual plans easier when you get there - and it's fun too :cool1:

Just wanted to mention about your last trip, don't feel you missed out. I don't believe it is possible to comfortably do everything you want to do in a single trip, especially when it's a first one and you are trying to get a feel for your favorite activities etc. We knowingly missed things out on our first trip because a week into it I realized it was not just a once in a lifetime - we had to come back!

We're busy planning for our first trip in 2015! We were originally planning on going in February 2015 but due to circumstances have had to push it back to the end of October/beginning of November which thinking about it is actually better as we'll have the F&W festival and Halloween to look forward to! I'm spending time comparing the different resorts to decide which is the better for us and have a saving spread sheet all set up to keep track of where we are money wise and how much more we need to save.

Because of this holiday, the release of the new Star Wars film and the Avengers Sequel 2015 has been declared The Year of Awesome!

We went 30th Oct - 13th Nov last year and had a great time with MNSSHP and F&W. The weather was a little cooler than we were expecting, but other than that it was great.

I agree with 2tiggies - our "once in a lifetime trip" last year wasn't enough! I went to WDW years ago with my mum, but 2012 was my husband's first trip.

I'm eagerly awaiting what deals will be coming out for 2015...really got my fingers crossed for free dining!

2tiggies, completely right it's not a once in a lifetime! It's definitely a repeat holiday, such a special place.

We're hoping for late September/early October 2015 so we can do Halloween & F&W festival. Hopefully well have the funds to stay at YC/BC this time! It looks like such a lovely resort but was out of the price range this year. SSR was still excellent though! Free dining would be a bonus, definitely keeping my fingers crossed for that too!

We're looking at late Sept/early Oct 2015 too! We'd love to stay at YC/BC but as we want to stay for 2 weeks it is a bit out of budget. There is a good deal on OKW for 2014, so if that offer rolls into 2015 we would be quite tempted to book there.

2015 for us too! Probably last 2 weeks in August. I would love to go in October but can't get time off work :(

My plan / wish list so far:
OKW with free DDP (again!)
1 night at a Universal Hotel
Day trip to Seaworld

I have already picked out some restaurants: 'Ohana breakfast, Be our Guest, Yak and Yeti, Jiko, Paradiso 37, Sci-Fi Diner, plus a return trip to Chef Mickey's!

So...I don't think it's too early to plan.;)

If we can't stretch to BC/YC I think we'll be at OKW, to try something different for SSR.

Hopefully what I'd like to do is fly into Orlando & spend the first 7 days seeing Florida, so driving to Miami, Everglades, Key West etc, then driving up to WDW for the last 7 days! This is what is like to do but all depends on finances.

We loved Jiko this year, one of the best meals I've ever eaten! I really want to try Le Cellier, Cali Grill & BOG next time as we left it too late this year! We need a 2015 planners club :D

I've been thinking about my 2015 trip for the last year already lol! would love to do 3 weeks but we are definitely stuck with 2 & another one going the last 2 weeks in August :-)

on my list are:
Be Our Guest
penguin tour at seaworld
discovery cove
taking my newest princess (will be 3 for the trip) to meet tinkerbell, Winnie the Pooh & go to bibbidi bobbidi boutique in the castle
going back to Busch gardens after 10 years as my boys (11 & 13 for trip) have demanded it!
trying a new country in Epcot for dinner
hugging Stitch (this one is just for me)
1 night at a universal hotel to get express pass, probably hard rock just to say I've stayed there
a day at a Florida beach (in 9 trips I've never done it)

my list grows larger all the time.. I really do need 3 weeks!!! lol

I've been planning our 2014 trip since we came back in 2010. We booked our villa in 2012.

I have a binder with all my info from the last 2 trips on and love to compare prices, it keeps me busy and thinking of Disney all the time :thumbsup2

So far we have booked the villa, flights and taxi to and from the airport. Only cars, tickets & ESTA's to get :cool1:

I'm so glad then I'm not the only advanced planner here!

I think I'll be waiting to see if Dis release free dining & will book next year. Then flights whenever they become available (fingers crossed the hike isn't too bad!)

We want to do 7 days in Florida first so I'll be looking at hotels in Miami, key west etc when they become available! Eeek it's just so nice to think about it!

We did Le Cellier last year - DH said that the steak was far superior at the Rose and Crown! Loved the desserts and the pina colada slushie but the food was so-so in our opinion. We loved Saana, so thought we would enjoy Jiko.

We can plan together Claire! We want a night at Universal and a trip to Seaworld too. BBB was fabulous - you will have a tear in your eye.

We probably are going to wait until DD is 3. So wont be until 2016!! And I'm already planning!!!

It's never too early. :)

I think I will have to join in on the planning for 2015 as I doubt I can convince hubby to go in 2014. We just got back from a trip to DLRP and that has made me want to go back to WDW so much. Seeing how much my 2 year old son loved it has made me determined to go. I will be looking at Oct/Nov I think as I would love to do Halloween or possibly catch the start of the Christmas celebrations. I am looking out for free DDP, staying at SSR or OKW and 16 nights so I can have 2 nights at Universal, excited just thinking about it!!!!

That's something I've not thought about a night at universal! Do you go mid way through or beginning/end of your holiday?

I'm umming and ahhhing about staying at Universal; on the one hand it'd be nice to get the early entry into Harry Potter and the front of the line passes and not having to make the journey over there by taxi. But as my husband points out it'd mean more packing and unpacking and switching hotels might disturb our son who has ASD. If there was a big financial advantage to switching then I'm sure I could pursuade him but having done the maths it's about the same :confused3

I'm planning for August 2015! We already have a Dibb villa booked. I'm being very brave as I will be driving over there for the first time. Plan to book car hire through COTD. Depending on pennies, we might stretch the 2 weeks into 3 by doing a DCL 4 night Bahamas cruise and then a couple of nights at AoA. It was DH's idea to try a villa as he likes the idea of a private pool.

I do know some of the character meals that we want to repeat, and we also plan to do a dolphin swim at DC, as DD will be over 6 by then :thumbsup2

I'll be looking at flight prices for next year to get an idea for 2015. BA flydrive prices are out for our rough dates (but for 2014) and TPA is coming in fairly reasonable. Well, as reasonable as August summer hols gets! :goodvibes

Claire :)

I think we'll be driving out there too this time, rather nervous as I tend to do all the driving at home as DBF has very low attention span ;) I think I'll have to concentrate very hard to remember I'm not in the UK and should be on the left! Ha! We'll be trail running it in Spain in May anyway so hopefully I should know if I can cope then!

I've been looking at flight prices for Oct with Thomas Cook 2014 as they seem to be the only ones so far that have released their flights, coning in at £970 direct for 2 adults MAN - MCO with luggage/meal which I think it very good! Hopefully get somewhere around there in 2015!
