NJ to HHI...95 or can you go Chesp. Bay/Bridge Tunnel

Going down to HHI for the first time....have the directions from Mapquest to mostly go 195 from NJ to HHI.........planning on doing this for drive down but can you go via the Chespeake Bay bridge/tunnel coming back? Is there a big time difference? Thanks

You sure can! It's a little longer in miles and may or may not be longer in time (depending on traffic in the DC area on I-95). It's definitely worth going over if you never have done it before as its an engineering marvel and depending on the weather, a SPECTACULAR view!

We did it last summer on our way from Phila suburbs to NC's outer banks. It is spectacular, especially if you have clear weather. We estimated it took us out of the way maybe one hour tops. There's even a gift shop/overlook about ten miles in from one end for stops to appreciate the view.
