Day 5, Part 3 YACHT CLUB, EPCOT AND YACHTMANS STEAK HOUSE
Crew: DH, DD1, DD2 and me (DW)
After an hour in the pool, we headed up to the room to get ready for our PS at the Yachtmans Steakhouse. We were really looking forward to getting ready for dinner tonight and just walking down to the first floor. Sidenote: The last few years, our family has gone on cruise vacations we are very used to getting ready for dinner and taking the elevator to the dining room. This vacation was a little different for us because once we were ready to eat (and we had to go back and take showers before dinner each day because it was HOT), we had to get a bus, ferry or taxi. Next time I will make sure I make PS closer to where we are staying!
Anyway, we check in at the Yachtmans and they seat us within about two to three minutes. We have the best waiter of our entire trip SAM! He was just wonderful. Can he get us a drink? Well, sure I order a gin and tonic, DH orders a scotch and DD1 orders a vodka and club. Sam looks at DD1 suspiciously at which point DD1 pulls out her license showing Sam she is indeed 25 years old! He winked at DH and said I just wanted to make sure. DD2 orders root beer.
The Yachtsman has the most awesome dinner rolls with toasted onion they were great. I wont go into great detail on the dinner, but it was second only to the California Grill! We had a very leisurely dinner and then took a stroll around SAB so we could show DH what he had missed the line out Beaches and Cream was about 20 people long. We headed back up to the room, made ourselves another drink (they had refillable mugs next to the t.v. so we unwrapped them and used them for our drinks and then for soda the rest of the week at Beaches and Cream) and went out onto the balcony to watch Illuminations from EPCOT.
Ya, were liking this hotel a whole lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow the MAGIC KINGDOM. Ya, I know, the whole purpose of the trip was for DD2 and we waited until the end of the trip to go to the MK because we knew we would never get her out of there! Our park navigator, DD1, studied the map we had left the navigation to her thus far this trip and it proved to be a good move. She told us we need to be there when the park opens so we all hit the beds!
