NJ DIS Meet to Benefit GKTW - July 16! $1750.00 RAISED!! WAY TO GO! UPDATE in #293!

I had a terrific (I hope!) idea today and could not wait to get home and tell everyone about it... It's another way everyone at our NJ Perkins Meet can help Give Kids the World Village.

GKTW maintains a "Wish List" on their web page- click (here)
In addition to your monetary donation to the NJ Meet/GKTW and anything you buy or donate to the silent auction- see if you can bring one or more of the items on their VAST wish list. It can be as small as some batteries or pens, or something a little larger. We can group everything together and send it with a photo of our Meet and a card signed from everyone there that day! I don't mind being the person to mail everything (but, if you choose to donate a refrigerator or a TV- I may ask you arrange to ship it yourself. )

What does everyone think? Can we do this? cheer2

I also love the Vinyls idea for the auction. I know we have a few Vinyl collectors attending this meet.

yay, this will be fun, our first DIS Meet!

You have me on the list - my DD Katie will be 8 the week before.

I have a few Disney prints that will be nice for the auction. I took a photo with my phone:

These are prints signed and marked for Mickey's Moms Club - They are really nice --hopefully they will be good for the auction.

So- we will all be able to help Nikki reach her goal at our meet on July 16.
I will bring a special donation jar earmarked specifically for this purpose!
(Remember- all the money goes for the same terrific cause- it all goes to GKTW!)

OH NOES!!! I just found out about this meet! I so would want to attend but I have already planned our engagement/birthdays/house warming party!

wanna change the site to my house!? LOL.... Well I hopeit is a success and that it will happen again next year... and maybe we can plan a holiday meet too??? I hope i hope. I want to meet my crazy Disney Freaks in NJ!!!

For those who haven't heard, Nikki has agreed to eat lox on our upcoming ABD trip in August!! But, we have to raise between $800 and $1000 for GKTW between now and then!!

We are planning on August 5 which is the final breakfast of our ABD trip at Storyteller's Cafe in DL!

We live just north of Philadelphia ... and would love to attend. We were hoping to get to the DIS meet in Hershey, but had conflicting plans.

I can bring a few Disney prints ... will see if I have a few extra *interesting* Disney pins, etc.
