Nintendo Switch 2

Depends entirely on the games. I am not interested in a new Mario Kart but will be patient and see what else will be released with the console. I do like that the system is backwards compatible with the majority of original Switch games (I'm betting stuff like Labo and Ring Fit Adventure will be excluded).

Almost certainly - I love Nintendo games! I ahve every one of their consoles so far, so I see no reason why I would skip Switch 2.

Yeah, and those will only be excluded because of the new joy-con form factor. Actually, I would bet that G1 Joycons will be compatible, but only for playing Switch 1 games, and, of course, they won't be attachable to the system.

Wait, what? How did I miss this? If they have new Mario Kart with new tracks definitely! We play Mario Kart as a family.

It was just announced yesterday, though with very few details. They were trying to get out from behind the leaks. The trailer does show a new, untitled Mario Kart game.

Yes, and I can't wait! I love my Switch, and I'm excited for the updates/upgrade and hopeful for some new games!

A good rule of thumb would be, if it can't be played on a Switch Lite (ex. Labo and Ring Fit), it won't be playable on the Switch 2. Depending on the controllers, stuff like 1-2-Switch could be excluded too. Guaranteed every first party title will work though.

I’m certainly interested in getting it may just not be an early adopter like I was for the first Switch. First one launched at $299.99, I’d expect this one to at least start at $349.99 to $399.99 at least in the U.S.

Don’t see Nintendo wanting to go over $400 USD.

Triggered? I played Contra recently! Time was, that was the only way I could beat the game, but actually, while I entered the code, I found that I actually wouldn't have needed it. I am playing the new Contra (Operation Galuga) currently.

Contra brings back a LOT of core memories lol

I just hope it doesn't go the way of the WiiU… people saw it as an "update" console rather than a console in its own right and it tanked. Pity… I really liked the WiiU!

Yeah, but Wii U's problem was that nobody was quite sure what it was. It could have just been an add-on, like Wii Fit. The average person doesn't really pay that much attention. Switch is mega-popular, and the 2 makes it pretty clear.

The potential optical sensor being added to the new Joy-Cons so you can potentially operate them like a computer mouse is very Nintendo.

I bet there will be some kind to shell attachment too to give it a better grip/feel.

I myself no but as my husband is a Nintendo guy I am sure once will be in our house shortly after released. We have had all the other consoles.
