Nine Dragons v. Tokyo Dining

We hope to get reservations at Teppan Edo for our March trip but that's looking tough. Considering Nine Dragons or Tokyo Dining as a fallback since both seem to have more availability. Never been to either, and recognize they are different experiences (and different than Teppan Edo). Anyone have a recent good/bad experience at either?

I can recommend Tokyo Dining. Each time I have eaten there, the food was very good

We dined at Nine dragons in Oct. as we hadn't been there in years. While nothing was wrong and our waiter was very nice, you will probably find your local Chinese restaurant better. We tried a few apps and our meals were hot and fresh. However, it was just plain and nothing we couldn't get at home and we live in a small town in Wi. We did check out the menu beforehand and just thought some of our favorites might be better elsewhere. You won't be really disappointed but I doubt you will be impressed. JMHO

I like both; Nine Dragons is definitely a significant step-up from my local Chinese. Having said that, use a dining reservation finder service to try to get Teppan Edo during your stay, and you should have a great chance of success.

I can say that Nine Dragons will probably be a lot less expensive than Tokyo Dining.

If you want average chinese food that your local place can do as well, Nine Dragons is fine.
Tokoyo Dining is much better, with a much more unique menu, but also more expensive. For us, Tokoyo Dining wins every time.
Teppan Edo is fun (and the food is good) if you don't have anything like that at home. We have 2 that are as good or better, so its never on our list.
