Nikki and Tom take on F&W and MNSSHP-Take 2! LINK TO TR pg. 55

Your plans look great. I was starting to wonder where you were! It's funny when you just expect someone to post. lol. I think your plans look great. I can't wait to get to Disney. This year it's June for us. I haven't gone in June in years and I just can't wait. I find myself talking about Disney at least 5x a day if not more even at school with the kids. I find myself reading my plans and thinking about my choices over and over again. You can never plan too much for Disney.

Plans look great- I can't wait to do F &W someday...I don't really drink (and I don't like wine), but just the differences in Epcot will be fun.

We booked Tony's for our trip. I booked around 8:30 bc I think my girls wanted to go back because of being able to st the Main St. Parade...don't know if we can get window seats again, but it is worth a shot.

Instead of Ohana, I booked Kona.

The anniversary D&B was online...after it was posted on the Disney blogs, I checked it out. :thumbsup2

Looks like a great plan! So many things planned for such a short trip. Fun! :)

looks like the perfect long weekend in Disney World Nikki! :wizard:

I can't wait to see the 'Memories' show in Magic Kingdom too.. I've not watched anything on youtube/disney sites about it because I want it to be a surprise! :cutie:

When is ADR day?!

Haha! I'm still here! 5x a day? Please, it's like my whole life! You really can never plan too much!

Believe it or not, we don't really drink either! But in World Showcase, it's a different story!

ADR day is April 1 but I think all my ADRs will be made by my travel companions in advance!! I couldn't resist and watched the new show on youtube. It's unbelievable!

They still do Wishes even though there's new new show?

Yes, it's right before Wishes!! BONUS!

I love Star Wars but Star Tours made me queazy! I'm not a weak person by any means and love a good 'roller coaster' and while the scenery in Star Tours was really cool (for a sci-fi geek like me!), the ride in general made me queazy. I am hoping for a seriously better 'ride' but who knows. So I know what you mean about this ride!

OH weird! Maybe with the new video and enhancements, it won't be as bad for you!

So I went to my sister's last night and helped her plan her itinerary. She was very resistant at first....she doesn't like to make an itinerary! She just likes to be free!!! But she has all these places where she wants to eat and things she wants to do, so why NOT make a plan?! I sat at the table with paper and pencil formulating a plan! Every once in a while, something would hit me and I'd do a "How about....." and mostly she would respond, "Oh that's a good idea!" So success! Yay! It wasn't too detailed but at least there's a place for all her restaurant choices (including our meal together at Beirgarten :cheer2:) and even a few places where she and DBIL can go to PM EMH if my parents want to take Emma for the evening.

Speaking of the parents, we got the BEST idea for a present for my Dad!! His b-day isn't until July so we may give it to him for Father's Day if we can't wait. Originally, I suggested to my sister that we get him the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, which I still think they might do, but yesterday I had the idea to get him the Richard Petty driving experience!

I didn't know this, but apparently my sister tells me he watches car racing all the time! Well, I did a little research and it was kind of confusing because there's the Richard Petty experience and the Indy Speedyway experience, which I THINK are both on the same track, just different times of day. Unfortunately, it's sooooooooo expensive to do the driving yourself so we purchased him the Ride-Along experience!!

It was $99 (plus tax) for a Ride-Along gift card. I didn't find too many reviews but what I did see all seemed positive so hopefully he'll enjoy it.

Well that update was more about my sister's/parents' trip than mine but any Disney planning is good Disney planning!!

Oh I forgot to tell you the best/cutest part about last night!!!

I bought Emma some things for the trip. She's going to dress as Cinderella for MNSSHP (of course!) So I bought her the light-up wand and tiara. The tiara was HUGE, really to big for me so that's going back but she LOVED the wand!! And the BEST thing I got her, I found at the Disney store in the mall. It's a tinkerbell t-shirt with WINGS stuck on with velcro on the back!! I thought they were the cutest things but didn't know how she would react to them. Well, she had this shirt on ALL night!! She was trying to fly around the room, waving her magic wand and shouting, "I'm a fairy princes, I'm a fairy princess!" Oh it was just the most adorable thing EVER!!! She is SOOOOOO excited to go to DisneyWorld! Or as she calls it...Disney Woild! (Not quite there with the "r" sounds yet!)

Hi, the plans look great, I will be looking forward to a Food and Wine trip around the world! and I am obsessed with O'hana at the moment,

Emma sounds so cute! stick on velcro wings, I have to look into that for my goddaughter! she would love it!

My sister just sent me a picture she took of Emma being a fairy last night. It's cell phone quality so mind the blur! I have more pics and video I took that I'll post when I get them uploaded later. The cutest was that every once in a while, she'd stop and turn her back towards us and say, "See my wings?" ADORABLE!!

Oh Nikki - Emma is just precious!!! Love, love, love the wings!! Did I ever tell you Ashley was Tinkerbell for her first Halloween? She was also Pooh Bear, and Marie the Cat - do we detect a theme here??? Disney costumes are the best! Hope you and Tom are well - say hello from us!

Emma is adorable! And she is growing up! Where does the time go???

What a nice gift for your dad! My DH did the ride-along experience and he really enjoyed it (the Richard Petty which is like Nascar cars NOT the Indy - those are the pointy looking cars). It was super easy - he got picked up at the TTC (we were staying at the Poly so that was easy for him to get to) and they took him to the track which is right next to the TTC! DH said he could have walked :rotfl: It only took up a couple of hours and he had a good time. So :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for your little review of that! I couldn't really find too much information! CAN you walk from the TTC or do you have to take the shuttle? No reservations for it right? You just show up? It sounds like you didn't go with him but do you know if people are allowed to go and watch? I'm sure the rest of my fam would want to go and take pictures.

Thanks in advance!!!

Your plans look great so far :thumbsup2 You must be really excited to be doing F&W :)

What a great birthday gift idea for your dad, he is going to love it :)

Awww how cute is Emma in her tee. So cool with the wings :cutie:

We did not go with him but anyone can go and watch for free! We just didn't think the kids at the time would be good for two hours sitting in the stands.

Can you walk there? Hmmm...I don't know. I did walk from TL to DTD and it was possible...but stupid :rotfl: because there aren't any walkways. I'm not sure if there is a walkway to the race track. I'll ask DH but he might not have paid attention. You can actually hear the cars zooming around the racetrack when you take a bus to the Poly or TTC!

We did not have reservations but we called a couple of times..JUST to make sure! I'll warn you now that they do offer some souvenirs you can pay for. In fact, my DH's plaque is sitting just above this computer :) It is a picture of him in the car with the raceway information. I believe it was $40 or so. He also got a tshirt and hat so you can get those types of things as well.

My sister works for Mopar and does all the car racing marketing so she got to do both the ride-along and the driver experience for free. She said the ride-along made her a little queazy but driving was better - but she gets extreme car sickness as a passenger. My DH did not agree with her. He really liked the ride-along and thought it was awfully $$$ to do the drive if you had to pay full price.

He left the Poly around 9am and was back in like 2 hours. He said there weren't that many people when he went (April 2009).

He's working right now but if you have more questions, just let me know and I'll ask him!

As always, Emma is absolutely ADORABLE!!! She's really growing up, I barely recognized her from past pictures! What a great aunt you are!!! :goodvibes

That is the cutest shirt!!!!

I was wondering if you had heard about Epcot having a "soft" opening for F&W on the Thursday before it opens. I have read this on a couple threads but so far I haven't heard any hard facts. Have you ever heard about this?
