Nights of Pin Trading at WDW

There is a Nights of Pin Trading next Friday at WDW in the Contemporary Resort..what exactly do they do? I also see that there is a new pin being released there..is it given to everyone there or is it just sold there? TIA!

It's actually called Mickey's Pin Trading Night which takes place in one of the Contemporary ballrooms in the convention center and basically it's where the locals and anyone else comes to trade their pins. Anyway the pin being released next week over there is called Nights of Pin Trading and there is usually one released each time this event happens. So you don't have to be there to trade any pins, because if you just want to purchase the pin and leave you can do that. Also whatever Nights of Pin Trading pins are not sold are usually put on sale the next day at the Contemporary in the Fantasia store.

I am going to be attending next Friday and I can not wait, so maybe I will see you there?

Yes it's on December 18 and it's taking place in the Ballroom of the Americas.

Finally, they are doing a pin trading when I am there. Do most people come at the begining? How long do most people stay? Do you grab a table and sit there or do you walk around carrying your pin bags? Do they have the "rules" that they have at the pin store in DD? Thanks.

There is a good number of people that line up before, however these ballrooms that host the event is huge and they put out a rows of huge tables. However if you want to walk around with your pin bags that is fine. Finally I would say most people stay until it's over and there is no rule on the amount of pin bags you can bring.

Also here is a link to a Youtube of what Pin Trading Night is like and ingnore the title because this past July and August WDW experimented with having it in the afternoon, however since then it has gone back taking place in the evening.

Hey, does anyone know if they still have the tables set up at DTD outside of the Pin Trading store? (Yeah, yeah, I know it's practically Shark Central, but I still like to take a look sometimes.) The last time we were there they had all the Halloween stuff and none of the tables were out.

Hey, does anyone know if they still have the tables set up at DTD outside of the Pin Trading store? (Yeah, yeah, I know it's practically Shark Central, but I still like to take a look sometimes.) The last time we were there they had all the Halloween stuff and none of the tables were out.

I was just at WDW from the 12 - 22 of this month and all the tables at Pin Traders were gone.

We used to go to the Friday night pin trading at The Contemporary when they used to do it every Friday night. We have not been to any pin trading in quite a while. Anyone know if there will be any pin trading at The Contemporary in February? We will be down for 2 weeks next month.

There is one during February which is happening on the 26th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, in the Ballroom of the Americas.
