Is there some kind of nightly show at universal or islands of adventure?

Just during the summer and around the holidays. Nothing all year round because the parks close so early in the slower periods.

They have the Universal 360 - A Cinesphere Spectacular show in the lagoon at the Studios...it's really cool. This year's dates are July 4 through August 8.

Oh no we're going to miss it . We are going at the end of August. I hope the park doesn't close early at the end of August.

Here's a link to the park hours. For IOA: August starts off closing at 10pm from the 1st-14th then IOA closes at 9pm from the 15th-21st and finally 7pm from the 22nd-31st.

For the Studios: August starts off closing at 9pm from the 1st-8th then the Studios closes at 8pm from the 9th-21st and finally 7pm from the 22nd-31st.

We arrive on Aug 25th and the park closes at 7 each night. I was bummed but I am hoping that means it is slower then and not as many people!!

Normally it isn't too bad at the end of August, and this year the studios should be nice if everyone is in IoA checking out HP. :thumbsup2

I could be in the minority here, but I wasn't that wowed by Universal -360. It was enjoyable for the first 5-10 mins, and then I got a little bored:rolleyes1

I had the expectation of something being on the same scale as the night shows at Disney and maybe that's not a fair comparison...

Universal has restrictions on its night time shows because it is located smack dab in the middle of the city with neighbourhoods surrounding it.
