Night Time Safari @ AK - For Standard Pass?

Hi all, I know no one really knows the ins-or-outs whats happening @ AK

I read that the Safari will stay open late, does anyone know? or feel it will only apply to EMH? as I only have a standard ticket (from UK does not include EMH)

Also is it possible to upgrade a day to EMH?

Thanks and hopefully everyone is not crazy yet from seeing AK posts!

EMH is not a ticket option or anything that you pay for on the side, it is something that people staying at Disney resorts and some of their good neighbor hotels have access to. So if you are staying on-property or in Disney Springs, you have access to the Extra Magic Hours.

No offense, but I don't tend to listen when people quote a rumor that hasn't be verified by anyone at Disney. The hyperbole in that thread is amazing. Besides, that is talking about Magic Kingdom, not Animal Kingdom.

I'm only pointing out that times may be a-changin'. When multiple sites start mentioning it (as has happened), there may be something to it. Disney isn't exactly a paragon of accuracy with the information they put out themselves.

To get back on topic.

O P, the evening safari is just an extension of the regular safari ride, with a few touring adjustments for night time viewing. The park will have regular evening hours extended when the new park attractions open. So you should be able to see this whether or not it is an EMH night.

And as a PP mentioned, EMH is a benefit of staying at any Disney resort (although you need a valid park ticket to enter the park). Or a very small number of good neighbour hotels. EMH (PM) are just two extra hours tacked on to the end of a regular park evening ( about once a week per park).
