I tried to search but guess I couldn't word it correctly to find the answer. We land in MCO at 8:30 pm. I'm looking for a hotel to stay in that night, then easiest/quickest way to get our luggage etc over to the Contemporary the next day without our own vehicle. I have plenty of Marriott and Hilton points to stay either of those if that's the best option. I'm trying to avoid the Contemporary price tag that arrival night. Thoughts?

I would stay at the Hyatt in the airport and then hop on Magical Express the next morning. This is what my daughter and I are doing at the end of June. The hotel room was cheaper than a value room, and we get to start our vacation rested and relaxed.

A good option would be to use your Hilton points to stay at one of the three Hiltons on WDW property: the Hilton BVP, Hilton LBV, or even Hilton Bonnet Creek.. If you stay at the Hiltons at DS you could perhaps even walk over to DS for a late night dinner/drinks or nice evening stroll around DS on your arrival day.. The next morning you would already be on property so it would be a very quick and easy 5-10 minute drive to the Contemporary from any of the three Hiltons

You could stay at a value resort and they will transfer your luggage for you.
Will they really transfer our luggage??? In all the years I've done it this way, they've never transferred our luggage. We've always had to come back for it ourselves.

We had no issues with luggage transfer from a value resort.

You can only transfer Disney to Disney hotel.

If you stay at say a Disney Springs hotel you would have to taxi/uber/lyft since luggage is not permitted on Disney transportation.

I would either stay at the airport hotel and get good night sleep, or stay at a Disney owned hotel and have them transfer luggage. Note there is no time frame ... it could arrive the next evening to your second room.
