Nicole & Colin 4/12/13, WP, ADH, UK/DP **5/23 Update - Wedding Dress Pictures!!!

Hey, just checking in!

I've never been a fan of The Knot.. their website always annoyed me!

That dress is really pretty! Go try it on!

The std is really cute. I love the castle in the background... maybe you could make it even bigger somehow? I love the colors (I'm doing the same color scheme! ). I love the "see ya real soon!" so much! The only thing that I might change is the "more detailed information to follow soon" line.. it almost takes a little away from the "see you real soon" because they both end in soon? I know you asked for honest feedback.... otherwise I LOVE them!

BTW.. did you get the date and locations that you wanted? I'll be following along, looking forward to more!

Glad you're joining in! I'm trying to go try the dress on next weekend while I'm in Orlando, wish me luck! So much to do in so little time!

Thank you for the feedback on the STD. I agree with what you said about both lines ending in "soon"! That line will probably change, I just put that in for a placeholder until I can figure out what to say lol I'm on the fence now about the design as I'm not sure if the castle takes away from it too much. I was thinking I might print the castle on that vellum paper that is semi transparent and make it like a cover to the STD and then tie it at the top with a ribbon to connect the two. Does that make sense? Then again, I might end up changing the whole design to match our wedding theme once I can decide on it. I'm going to play with another design and get you girls thoughts. I'm having such a hard time deciding on a theme for the invites, menus, place cards, etc, I want them to all match, but that means I need to decide now so the STD's can match too! I'm so OCD!!!

We did get the location we wanted, but we had to change our mind first pretty much. We initially wanted the GF ballroom for our reception, but then a corporate client booked it so we went with ADH and now I'm very glad we did that because I'm definitely liking ADH more than the GF ballroom. I just took a while for me to realize it lol! We booked a 2:30 ceremony at the pavilion, pre reception on the 2nd floor or ADH, then reception on the lower levels of ADH and DP at the UK Pavilion at Epcot. I can't believe it's still 11 1/2 months away! Seems like so long!! I hear it flies by though, so I'm trying to enjoy it!

Depending on if you get the dress we might be dress twins. Though seriously try the dress on it's an amazing dress! I didn't take any pics of it when I tried it on but it was super flattering and I'm no tiny thing.

That's what my coordinator told me when she talked to us about ADH, that it doesn't need much decoration. I'm going to check it out next Saturday and they are actually going to let me take a peek while they are setting up for a wedding reception so if they let me take pictures, I sure will post them for you. I was so excited that they are letting me peek while they are setting up so I can see what it might potentially look like as a wedding set up.

The room block was a pain, I'm not going to lie! We just sent it in yesterday after over a week of having it. We actually emailed or called most of our guests to see where they would stay. We ended up just leaving a few off because they didn't respond, but you can always add them later IF the resort still has availability. I can email you the spreadsheet if you PM me your email address but just keep in mind that your rates may be different when you get yours. Let me know.

Thanks! There are so many PJ's, it's hard to keep up sometimes without sitting in front of the computer all day! I have a few I need to check out as well! Glad you're joining in! Hopefully I'll have more to post after next weekend's site visit.

The dress is still fairly new so I haven't seen many brides with it. I could only find 2 plus the model with that dress on.

The fit was flattering and gave me such a tiny waist. The bling was nice too just the right amount imo. I know they have a matching veil that goes with it along with jewelry but not sure of the price on those.

Definitely keep us posted on the dress sure. Oh how exciting that your going to Disney so soon.

Has anyone had flowers done for their wedding or heard any reviews about Jonathan's Flowers in Winter Park, FL? He seems like a really nice guy and the reviews online are generally good. His prices are great too! Anyone have any feedback?

•The beach picnic has got to be one of the most romantic proposals I've heard. So sweet of Colin!

•Have you been able to try on the Princess Jasmine dress yet? It's soooo pretty!
•I like the Save the Dates too. Maybe making the first sentence larger will be more eye-catching?
•Oooh, I didn't realize you switched to Atlantic Dance Hall--You are going to LOVE IT. I still swoon when I see pictures of it. I also really want to stay at the BoardWalk someday, which will bring back great memories.

I think the Atlantic Dance Hall is awesome!! I love the BW area, so vintage. I LOVE vintage style and clothing, everything. We're going to be staying at the BW, just a fun area.

Can't wait to hear more!!

Off to my site visit and dress search today!! I will try to get plenty pictures for you ladies! Wish me luck! I'm meeting with the florist and my photographer as well. So excited to meet my coordinator Michelle and photographer Regina!! I am so happy that I got Regina for photography, her work is so awesome! I wish I could keep Michelle through the entire planning process, she's been awesome too!! Hopefully I get a good planner! I should find that out soon! I'll be back Monday!

Good luck!! I can't wait to hear all the details! I'm jealous you get to go back to Disney. We'll see what's in the cards for me, I may invite myself on one of DF business trips down there. I wonder if I can reLurkeylooquest a specific photographer? I think that is one of the things we're going to upgrade on.

Let us know about your dress shopping too!! I'll be going in about a month when my parents come to visit me. What kind of dress are you looking for!?!? Oh, just an FYI down in the Orlando area there is a place called Carolyn Allen (Carrie - Lurkeyloo, told me about it) The groom and whoever else can rent their tux from there, they will deliver it to the resort and pick it up the next day. They also have a service for the brides gown. Coming from Seattle I really didn't want to travel with my dress. So I can send it to Carolyn Allen, they will steam it and also bring it to the resort. They will also send it home for me and if I wanted preserve it. Not sure how far you're going but I just thought it was such an awesome service.

I am just as OCD, so don't feel bad! Anytime I get a new idea and tell my DF he says "that's gonna be a lot of work" lol.. And I'm just like.. "umm, it's our WEDDING!" haha

I'm actually happy for you that you ended up in ADH.. It was a strong contender for us as well. We may end up having to switch to it if we get more people surprising us responding yes!

Ok ladies!!! I'm sooooo sorry for being away so long. I haven't had much time lately for updates so I'm squeezing in a quick one today! I hope you all haven't given up on me!! I have so many updates for you ladies!!!

The site visit TR is coming, but I'm going straight to the dress for now! We woke up Sunday morning and drove to Alfred Angelo in Altamonte Springs, FL while DF took the kids to Magic Kingdom. I finally tried on the Jasmine dress aaaaand, I bought it! It was love at first site! I had no doubts, that was the first and only wedding dress I tried on! I got the matching veil as well!

Here's the detail of the dress and veil with me wearing:

Please excuse the double chin, I was up high and my sister-in-law who is short was taking pictures so I was looking slightly down the whole time and hence the double chin, I hate that!!!

Next up...bridesmaids dresses, stay tuned, don't give up on me!!
