Nickleback...

Okay... so i live in the St. Louis area and am a huge punk, emo, and screamo music fan. here in the good ole STL we have Z107.7 which is the station that plays Fergie, Pretty Ricky, Fall Out Boy... and Nickleback. We have Y98 which plays John Mayer, Third Eye Blind, Rob Thomas... and Nickleback. We have
93X (my personal favorite) which plays a lot of underground and local stuff, My Chemical Romance, The Killers... and Nickleback. We have 105.7 The Point which plays Papa Roach, Nirvana, Pantara... and Nickleback. Like I said before I am a huge rock fan and liked Nickleback before. I still like their old stuff like "How You Remind Me" but seriously... I don't know how much they are played in other parts of the United States but if you listen to the radio do you also agree that we can't get away from them?

Nickelback, in our case isn't quite like that. Yes, they get a lot of airplay here, but they really got their big break in the states.

I prefer their older work, like:

Too Bad
Feeling Way To Damn Good
Never Again


I'm finding their newer music doesn't appeal as much. Rockstar, If Everyone Cared, Photograph and Far Away, just annoy me. The first two, that was my own doing. I listened to it way too much. If Everyone Cared has a wonderful message. Photograph is awful now in my opinion, and Far Away.. dunno, can't stand it. Those are two very overplayed songs. Savin' Me isn't even popular anymore.
Animals, is by far the best song on that album IMHO.

Honestly, their stuff isn't that overplayed anymore... they have a lot of more popular songs, and they are all played on the radio, so it sounds like you hear them more, but proprotionatly (is that the word to use?) if you compare the number of plays "far Away" gets to "Chasing CArs," you come up with like, nothing.

I hate Z107.7. 101.1 was good before, but then whatever the heck they did now sucks. With my mom, I'm usually on like 98.1 or something like 96.7 or whaterver.

Meh dad prefers 105.7, KSHE95 and stuff on the satellite radio.
My best friend is obsessed with 103.3, so ya. Oldies.

103.3 KLOU St. Louis, good times. 89.9 is pretty good when it comes in. lol
