Booked 2 nights at the Nickhotel, and not sure which side I should request. I looked at the website and it seems the Oasis pool has 2 slides that empty into the pool, while the slides at the Lagoon pool don't empty into the pool, but the overall play area looks much bigger. I have 2 girls 7 and 9 who I know would love the pool slides at the Oasis pool, but we will have just spent 4 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel with the pool slide, so I'm thinking that won't be such a neccessity by the time we get to Nick. For anyone who has experienced both, which do you think is better for that age? Also, is there a difference in the rooms, the concessions, the theming etc. between the 2 areas? TIA!

My kids (5, 6 and 71/2) liked the lagoon pool side better. It seemed to have more going on with the "Nick games" also. They liked the other side too, just preferred to spend more time a the lagoon pool. HTH. BTW on the lagoon side they have a pool bar and the kids loved getting non-alcoholic "slime time" drinks.

Thanks, I was leaning toward the Lagoon side, as it just looks bigger and a lot more to do. If the pool-side activities are all there, then it's a no-brainer. Of course, just because I request that side doesn't mean I'll get it, but it never hurts to ask. ;)

We didn't request any special room (didn't know what to ask for!) and ended up with what I thought was a great room. It was on the lagoon side but faced the "lake". It was really quiet and we were close enough to everything. Hope that helps. Have a great time, my kids loved it.
