We loved the Nick hotel. Kids ages DD 10, DS 8. Check in/out painless. We picked to be by the main pool, we got an outside room, facing the road, which I think was great it was close but not facing the NOISEY pool. A room was ready at 9AM. We did not take it, because it was a handicap room, we wanted a tub for the kids. So the room was ready around 11:30AM. Nice size room, the whole wall Jimmy neutron decoration mural for the kid room. TV in both bedrooms and front room. Good size bathroom. Extra blankets already in the room. (There was hair on the shower curtain that was not ours, that was the only not so good thing for the room).
Pool, the main pools are heated. Life guards attentive. Closed 11 PM. The main pool is zero entry depth. It has two umbella type sprays for the little kids. The main pool has a climb thru area with slides tons of watering raining down on you, it is NOT heating, it was FREEZING. At 4:45PM green water comes down from the big bucket (SLIME). You can get life jackets with your room key.
There is a small free pee wee golf area. There is a small area small children can play in - water comes up from the ground for them to stomp on, plus a little climb on for them.
Towels are plentyful. Right next to the pool you can have your hair wrapped with threads,(we did this $1 an inch) or braided. And you can have tattoos applied. Snack are available by the pool. YOU CAN BRING IN YOUR OWN SOFT DRINKS, SNACKS, FOOD TO THE POOL AREA. There are people taking orders also at poolside and bringing it back to you.
Food court-We ate pizza hut, reasonably priced. $13.99 medium cheese pizza. Character breakfast we did not do, another mom said not worth it, food dried out. She also stated all characters did come in dance around, but only two stayed for a little bit. We did see sponge bob wandering around. There was a small grocery offering type store inside with suntan lotion, diapers, swim goggles, fresh fruit and sandwiches-reasonable.
4-d movie $5.99 kids, 6.99 adults 10 minutes did not see it or any other shows. There was one free activity a day, the rest cost something. The parties cost $ for each person.
The other pool I think 3 foot 6 inches at shallowest area. Two slides that empties down into the main pool. It was the quieter pool. Another little splash zone and climb on for the little kids. We did that pool the second day we swam because it was quite windy, and the second pool is more protected by surrounding rooms so it was warmer. It closed 6PM. The main pool was still open. They do close the pools for an hour maintainance.
It was very easy to get to disney from the Nick hotel. And a walmart was fairly close. We stuck our room key on the outside area of those thing that keeps your money dry that you wear around your neck, and all the sensors could read it thru the plastic so we never had to dig around looking for it, to get in the hotel entry gate or our room. At night we had to park a looooooooong way away from our room. The elevator are slow and really need to be cleaned. The laundry area looked nice. Oh yeah I called the front desk twice but they NEVER picked up the phone.? We wanted a wake up call.
I brought back two Nick flyers in case of questions.
