Nice place on the Boardwalk to have a late lunch

Hi!! I am getting married in Disney on May 7th next year. Our ceremony is at ten and we should be done between 12 and 1. Where do you think we should all go and eat afterwards?

There will be 18 of us at the most and one child who is 11.

I am open to any suggestions and I could really use them. Thank you!!

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, Very exciting!

BW area has limited lunch choices. The only places open for lunch are B&C, Yacht Club Galley, Hurricane Hanna at the Y&BC and the brewery at the BW.

Here is the link to the menu for Yacht Club Galley They do have a small room, but I am not sure how many it will hold.

The rest of the options do not serve lunch.

Is going into a theme park an option? Or another resort? Maybe DTD at pucks? You could get a couple van taxis (maybe 3?) and go to another resort or DTD for lunch. Kona Cafe is an option.

Lots of time to plan still. Let us know where you end up and we would love a review when you get back.

I do not know the crowd you roll with... but, if it were me and my options were limited I might have everyone go over to the Swan hotel. They have a lovely little Japanese bar-restaurant. I would call them and check the hours of operation, it is very quaint and personal and would be great after a wedding. The area on the boardwalk itself has ESPN and the brewery. They are both very crowded and impersonal. I might also check with the Boardwalk inn directly, see if they have a room or something to set up for a small private lunch, you never know, they do have a convention center at BW and the swan dolphin. They may be able to set something intimate up for your group. Best wishes and truly enjoy your day.

We can go to another resort,just not the parks because I am going to be stayng in my dress.

YCG is a hidden treasure at WDW. Food is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is very family oriented, and it is one of the more quiet WDW restaurants. Service is great and it is set in a beautiful resort.

Perhaps things have improved at Yacht Club Galley. Last time we ate there 3-4 years ago, the service was slow and incompetent and the food was blah. We have not been back.

If you are willing to go elsewhere, we had a very good lunch at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs recently. It was quiet and food was delicious. Service was slow and not very polished but perhaps if they're aware in advance that you're coming, they'll be a little prepared with extra help. We liked that it was quiet and out of the way.

Grand Floridian Cafe serves lunch and is a pretty setting for a wedding luncheon.

At Down Town Disney, Wolfgang Puck Cafe might be nice. House of Blues is pretty quiet at lunch, likely could accommodate a large party and has good food. Portabello Yacht Club has tasty Italian food and has not been crowded at lunch when we've been there (unlike dinner which can be very crowded).

Another thought -- plan tea at the Grand Floridian Garden View Lounge at 2 p.m. Follow this with dinner in the wine room at California Grill! Or dinner at Narcoosee's. Or even dinner in the separate side room at V&A! Seatings start at 6 p.m. at V&A, and probably earlier at the others, like 5 p.m. perhaps.
