Please help me decide...we will be spending 3 nights in Orlando after our week long cruise. The kids want to vist WWHP...we will probably only do the one day in the park. I booked Nick because I thought for our family of 6 it was a reasonable option (2 bedroom suite and all) I missed out on earlier deals; so it is $705 for the three nights. Its a package that includes some 4D shows or something...Anyway, I also thought there was enough entertainment at the hotel to keep everyone busy as well. The kids are 16,14,12 and a 3 year old.

THEN, I visit the boards and see about Bonnet Creek; so I contact Ken Price and can get 3 nights for $459! The place looks really nice. Probably not as crazy as the Nick (not sure yet how much this would bother my children) Also is it much further from Universal than Nick Hotel? Im soo confused!:confused3

Please chime in....I always value your input!

No confusion here, I would take Bonnet Creek everytime. There is plenty for your kids to do at Bonnet Creek. Distance-wise to universal, its a wash. About 20 minutes.

Enjoy the luxurious extra space, the more peaceful surroundings, the more money in your pocket!

With the money you save, you could take everyone to Downtown Disney to Disney Quest, and the movies, and to dinner.

Anyway, have fun!

Thank you for your input Upatnoon....when you say "wash" for distance, do you mean they are both the same? Sorry for my ignorance. I guess my only concern is letting the 12 year old know we are switching. She is probably the only one who will care.

I would choose Bonnet Creek any day over Nick Hotel! I have heard too many mixed reviews on the place. Not my kind of place to stay anyway. I think your kids would love the pool at Bonnet Creek and the room will be much nicer! Washer/dryer to wash all the clothes from the cruise! Not to mention it would save you quite a bit of money! :)

Yes, the driving distance to Universal is about the same. Easy drive from either place. Bonnet Creek is much closer to Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk.

This is like asking the family of they want to see the grand canyon on a beautiful 70 degree afternoon or the las vegas strip at 11 on a weekend. Or a Piano bar with white table cloths vs rock concert with smashed tables. You can't compare the two.

But if you want to take the kids to get vanilla ice cream is a beautify bowl go to BC, if you want them to have triple chocolate chip mint fudge brownie with fudge sauce and jimmies in a cardboard cup go to the Nick.

I'd pick the Nick with kids every time, me and the wife kid-less, BC.

That's just what I thought....Now we need to decide what type of place we want and if its worth $250 more to cater to the kiddies?:confused3
