Niagara Falls New York Hotels.

Hi. I was wanting good Hotels on our side now DDs and are are wandering about spending the night over the border.
There are a few right over the border, around 1st Street, and a good neighborhood. Any ideas? -nice rooms
-reasonable price
-pool/HOTTUB.
We are though, going to be shopping way down Niagara Falls Boulavard.1/2 hour away. Anything that way?

Are you shopping at Galleria at all? We usually stay there because there are several nice hotels and restaurants right around the mall. I have not stayed near the Boulevard Mall although it is about 15 minutes from the Galleria. That area is Amherst and I know there is a Ramada, Homewood Suites, Super 8, Marriott and Hotel Indigo there.

Don't stay in Niagara Falls, NY. No offense to anyone who lives or works there,( I used to) but it is not a desirable place to stay. Go to Amherst and stay at either the Marriott or if you are looking for cheap but clean the Red Roof Inn. The good thing about Amherst is that it is centrally located, just off the highway and there is UB's north Campus so there are lots of hotels and motels to choose from. The Boulevard Mall is there and it's 15-20 minutes to the Galleria Mall and there are lots of shops all up and down Niagara Falls Blvd. Have fun!!!!

We have stayed many times at the Hampton Inn located at 501 Rainbow Blvd. It is about a half a block from the casino. The hotel is very nice, clean and updated. They have an indoor pool and a hot breakfast is included. The best rate is usually the CAA/AAA rate. We have never paid more than $89 for a standard room, which is really good considering that breakfast is included.

The PP mentioned that it's not a desirable area.....we have never felt unsafe in that area. We go there about every 6-8 weeks to shop and sometimes go to the casino.

I agree the Hampton Inn is very nice. The Comfort looked nice. Also the hotel at the CASINO. I prefer the canadian side but if it's shopping you want you'll be safe with the hotels mentioned.
