Niagara Falls Festival of Lights Disney Show

Thanks Sandra! I've been wondering about this. I don't see a mention of the character breakfast you talked about last year. Do you know anything about that? Thanks Kathy

Hi Kathy, thanks for writing. About the character breakfast. There are two seatings, 8 am and 10:30 am, this year it's at the NEWLY refurbed Sheridan! I was under the impression that anyone could buy tickets to the Disney character breakfasts, but they told me that it's a 'word of mouth' fundraiser for Tender Wishes (a Niagara Falls children's wish foundation). I ordered 4 tickets (2 adults and 2 kids) for my family as I've been doing for years. This year I asked for additional tickets and was only able to get 4 more (2 more adults and 2 more kids). Since my daughter is a 'wish kid' we get the tickets. The other four tickets, we are giving to our friends who's son has the same disabilities our daughter has. They are thrilled to be going. I thought these tickets were sold all over Niagara Falls, I've heard people saying that they read about the breakfasts in the newspapers around Niagara, so I thought the tickets were easy to get. I guess you have to have a sick kid to get them. Sorry about that. I'll tell you this, I'd trade my tickets to have Emily's health PERFECT! However, we are making a weekend out of it with our friends. The Disney show is still MUCH worth the trip and a weekend in the Falls! There are two shows Nov. 17 and I think the 18th too. Chat soon! Sandra

Thanks Sandra! I can sure understand where you're coming from when you say that you'd rather have Emily healthy. That is something that I thank God for every day! It would have been fun to do the breakfast, but I think that it's wonderful that they put it on for the kids that really need some cheering up. Maybe we'll still try to get there for one of the shows, but at that time of year in retail, it's sometimes hard to get away. I hope that you all have a great time!

Thanks for understanding. I thought they would be thrilled when I thought I could sell dozens of tickets for them. But I guess most of the tickets are spoken for in advance, like ours. I was lucky to get 4 extras. We were fortunate enough to be invited to our first Disney character breakfast 5 years ago by the Festival. I called them to see if our daughter could meet Fred Penner, a children's entertainer. Because Emily had just been granted her wish from Make A Wish Foundation, they tied it all in. We were surprized to be invited back the following year. The last three years we offered to paid for the tickets and make it my birthday weekend party. This year will be nice to share it with another family who has gone thru the same as us. Thanks again! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

i would like to know if we can take picture with Mickey? (do we have to go to a specific place to meet Mickey?)

Hi, during the show, he's only on the stage, no meeting place. The character breakfast is just like the ones at WDW, the character come around to all the tables. Get to the show early for a good spot, they have a giant screen as well for better viewing.

thx for the reply
i actually emailed Niagara Tourism, and i got some info:

There are 2 breakfasts with the Disney Characters on Saturday, November 17, 2001. The first at 8:00 am and the second at 10:30 am. They are both held at the Sheraton on the Falls Conference Centre in Niagara Falls. And yes you can take a picture with Mickey.

The tickets are $13.00 for children 2-11years and $16.00 12 years and up.

Call the Winter Festival of Lights office at 905-374-1616 #26 for tickets.

Hi all! Bronwyn is a great person. When ordering your tickets, please keep in mind that many "WISH" kids need tickets too. Bronwyn let me order 8 tickets this year for our family and one other WISH FAMILY. Let's just think of the kids too! THANKS! SEE YOU IN THE FALLS!
