Niagara Falls-Canadian Side!

Please feel free to move thread if needed, but I feel like this board is so helpful when it comes to this stuff!

DH and I plus another young couple are planning on a quick weekend trip to Niagara Falls in January. Both men will be at a seminar part of the day on Saturday, which is the reason for the trip.

I haven’t been to the Falls since I was little and have no idea where to stay or what to do! We’ll have a car but want to be able to walk/uber to most places. I know it’s the off season and we would still like this trip to be budget friendly, but does anyone have any recommendations of hotels, restaurants, indoor activities?

Any input appreciated!

There are a couple lengthy threads on this board from 2016. If no children are going and price isnt a factor I recommend Fallsview Casino and hotel. She planned for small kids and stayed at Great Wolf Lodge. We visited Fallsview and if I didn’t have kids in the trip, that would be my choice. It is in a great location.

The other chain hotels with - view of the falls would also be great.

Try looking at Groupon. I was able to get a hotel, with meal vouchers, and play vouchers for the indoor mini-golf - laser tag arcade location for a really good deal a few years back.

Here are some of the threads. We had a great time. We drove from Tampa, Florida. We did stop to pick my daughter up from cheer camp in Pennsylvania. (Camp Woodward). Our relatives drove from Detroit, Michigan. My husband sister and her husband joined us. Our niece and her girls didn't come niece's father-in-law was terminally ill and they were providing daily care for him. We planned for Great Wolf Lodge for our nieces girls.

We also went in 2016 and chose to stay a little farther out on Niagara-on-the-Lake. Not sure what there is to do there off-season but there's a lot of theater in the summer. It's about 20 min away.
