if so was it worth the money. We were thinking of going this weekend and it will be $35 with parking for two adults. How long would one be spending there? Is there lots of butterflies at this time of year?

Try posting on the Canadian forum. Lots of Ontario people posting there.

My husband and I went about 10 years ago and honestly, it was one of my favorite stops. I can't answer your other questions but wanted to put in my two cents. We went in May and had butterflies landing on us. Well, mostly my husband who had on a red shirt. If you can afford it, I would recommend it. Hope this helps.

It was part of our "experience" pass and we all loved it. We went Labor Day one year and h butterflies were all over us. Our entire family really enjoyed it.

I thought it was good. I had already been to another in FL so it wasn't as exciting for me the second time, perhaps. But if you are into butterflies and enjoy seeing them flitting about, then go for it! As far as the time spent, that is totally up to how long you wan to spend there. Like museum people who read every word of every display sign versus those that power walk through glancing right and left as they pass by items. I was there in the summer and there were lots of butterflies around.

We went a few years ago, my mother in law loves butterflies, we all really liked it. The grounds are beautiful as well.

I have visited twice. You can spend an entire afternoon here if you want. The grounds are beautiful, so be sure you don't just visit the conservatory. Walk around the trails and check out the gardens. Also, the drive along the road to get you to the Butterfly Conservatory has some of the best views of the Niagara Gorge, so don't miss that either.

What else could you do with that $35? That's the only way to determine whether it's "worth it" or not.

My family and I enjoyed the Butterfly Conservatory very much during our visit to Niagara Falls. It was especially wonderful during the cold weather to be in such a warm place, felt like a reprieve.

This is probably to late for your trip....

We went a few years back and enjoyed it very much. The grounds are beautiful for a nice stroll. I do remember that there was a snack bar type place, that we thought was pretty $$$. Maybe pack a picnic lunch. I also remember the shuttle busses going in and out so maybe getting the shuttle passes would be worth it rather than the parking fee.

We went this past April. It was part of the ? Wonder Pass that also included the bus that circles all the sights, the behind the falls viewing and a motion ride ? The Fury.

The pass almost paid for itself with just the bus pass.

Was there on July 8th of this year. Go when it opens and you'll have the run of the place - and it opens at 10:00, which isn't too early. A ton of butterflies - unlike some zoo/greenhouse exhibits you see, they birth butterflies year round in the conservatory, so there's no shortage. My 6 year old daughter loved the fact they landed all over her. Wear something colorful. Good time.

Have you considered the WEGO people mover system? Depending on your location and plans, you might be able to make a wash - or do better than paying for parking. Especially if there's just two of you.
