NH Trio : LIVE from Disney's Beach Club Resort

Another New Hampshire Dis member following your report! We are in the Lakes Region area. Haven't been to BC for a few years, I am sooo jealous. Hope you're having a great time and bus service improves! Good luck with the weather, maybe it will cool off a little for you...but any day at WDW is a great day!!

My DD and I also had some fun calling the phone booths in the UK area. That was quite a hoot!

Thanks for following along everyone! I feel my trip slipping through my fingers and I wish I could slow it down! We are having such a great time!

We were probably right near you last night. Had dinner at Rose and Crown. Did the P and F thing there before Illuminations. My dd who is almost ten loves those detective missions

Loving your Live Report!!! This is the week we have been at the World for the last 10 years. Unfortunately, the kid's schedules won't allow it this year. Truly miss not being down on our "normal" week. Thanks for taking the time to keep us updated :)

Absolutely! We are doing MK today as we figure the other parks are a little easier to do in the rain. But I'm in WDW and even if it rains, I'm happy!

I can't help but wonder about moving to the WL now that the storm is coming... I love the BC mostly because of SAB and now that it will be virtually unusable for the next couple days, I think it would be fun to be "home."

I know... I'm strange! ;)

My DS (12) and I were on Splash Mt back in July and it started to rain just as we were boarding. We both declare it to be the best ride we've ever had on Splash!!!!

We thought it was a hoot and laughed all the way through the ride. We still laugh every time it is mentioned! And for the record, I'm one of those people who doesn't like to get wet on rides but at that point it didn't matter!!

Have fun and enjoy even with the rain. We were there during tropical storm Faye and my DH says he'll take going during a storm over the heat in August any day. Makes the lines shorter for the rides too. Just remember that being together and having fun is the most important thing. :)

WOW!!!! The MK is insane today. There is no way that the crowd level is just a 4. I'm guessing many people changed their plans to be here today due to the impending storm...

We are in MK today too. Georgia got her hair cut and pixie dusted pig tales. Waiting for laugh room now. say hi if you see us

Enjoying your report! I totally agree with the bus situation at BC. When we stayed there a few years back it took forever to get anywhere. I think Disney needs to rethink using 1 bus for that many resorts, especially when you pay the price they charge for BC/YC. Glad your having such a great time! :)

Arrived back at the hotel this afternoon to find 2 letters from BC management.

#1 says that the Stone Harbor Club will be closed for refurbishment beginning tomorrow, August 27th. No end date is given. While the refurbishment is being done guests will use the Presidential Suite as the club lounge.

#2 says that they will be replacing carpets throughout the resort from 10am-5pm beginning Monday.

So add these to the closures of Hurricane Hanna's and the gym and you've got a hotel that's missing a lot of its amenities... It's interesting to me that they would plan all of this at once.

I agree- that certainly is a lot of construction/changes going on at once!

I hope it does not prove too disruptive to you or others who are vacationing in the next few days.

Another great day today despite the icky weather! We ran around Magic Kingdom today with about a billion other people. We did Big Thunder, Small World, Pirates, Tiki Room, all of Tomorrowland, and Hall of Presidents.

The waits were manageable despite the size of the crowds.

We also had a yummy lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern before heading back to our hotel.

In the evening we headed out to World Showcase. I absolutely LOVE being able to walk to Epcot!!! We wandered around a bit before watching the American Adventure show. Afterwards we tried to walk into Napoli but that was not happening! We ended up at Tokyo Dining and the meal was great with even better service!

We walked back to BC and I seriously contemplated taking my daughter swimming but thought better of it at the last minute. We are pretty tired so I'm afraid that might have pushed her right off the edge!

We had some tasty desserts in the CL. This is our first ever experience with CL and I think we've all fell in love with it! The staff are so friendly and even though the room is small, we are not having trouble finding seats.

One of the CMs at the CL desk told my husband that she thinks the majority of the rain will pass by tonight and predicts we should be in a good spot by mid morning. I'm hoping she's right because tomorrow is our last full day and I've got stuff to do!!!

As a side note, I have pretty much convinced my husband that we should come back to WDW alone in Dec to celebrate our anniversary!

We did CL for the first time earlier this month at WL and fell in love also. Hoping to stay WL CL again next December (2013). Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!!

So it's our last night at BC and WDW and what am I doing? Sitting in the room relaxing... I really want to be out doing something but my feet (plantar fasciitis) are acting up and I'm just exhausted!

The sad bus (ME) picks us up at 3:30pm tomorrow so we are going to make the best of our last dew hours...

I just can't shake the feeling that I should be out there running around tonight... Am I crazy?

I always get sad the last night. ;( I wish the stay could last forever. It's funny but we usually end up just hanging around the room too. I always end up wondering when the next time will be.

The Magical Depress!

Sounds like it is smart to take it a bit easy tonight and hopefully be in good shape to do a few things tomorrow.

So glad to hear that you had a really nice trip!

BTW- my DH and I often look at each other when we are on a family trip and whisper to each other... This would be a lot of fun WITHOUT the kids ;)

We are fairly certain that we'll be coming down just the 2 if us in early Dec... I'm almost ready to book the WL! :)

We've already got plane tix and rooms booked for our Jan trip. That trip is at the ASMovies because we're traveling with my parents, my step sister, and my sister and her family. I haven't stayed in a value resort for awhile and I've totally turned into a total snob! Oops!

We are currently waiting for a late night seating at Cape May Cafe. We hadn't planned on this but we were able to get a spot via walk up. Although my DH is not thrilled that we are still waiting...

I went from two stays at BC to the class trip at ASMovies. And survived to tell the tale. :lmao:

Enjoy your dinner. Hope you are now seated! You can tell your DH that it is not TOO late until you start to see Minnie and Goofy in their beach attire and bagels on the buffet.

I've loved reading your High School trip report!!

Dinner was okay... I'm not a seafood person but my husband ate his weight in crab legs!! He was very happy with his dinner!

Home today... :(
