"NFL LITE" AKA COLLEGE FOOTBALL 2024

Indiana sure proved they belonged in the CFP!

NOT!!!!lol

Yes. I hope the committee realizes they have to take strength of schedule into account next year.

Alabama has no SOS argument. They lost to two 6-6 teams, one of em 24-3. Had they won those games, their sos would have put them in. But they didn't. So the SOS argument is moot. Can't very well complain that Indiana beat mediocre teams when you lost to two mediocre teams and they didn't. Ole Miss has no SOS argument either. don't lose to 4-8 Kentucky or 7-5 Florida.

PSU 28 SMU 0 at halftime.

Another riveting CFP game.

Thank you CFP Committee!lol

Time to switch to the NFL game!:)

I guess the added bonus of the expanded playoffs is the extra chances to beat on losing teams and claim they didn’t belong there in the first place. The best playoff teams seem to be the ones that aren’t playing in it - at least they didn’t lose, so they can always claim that they would have done better than others.

I guess it’s SMU’s turn in the blender? 😉

CFP first round was a FOUR alarm dumpster fire!lol

4 Double digit losses are a nightmare for TV and advertisers.

U G L Y!!!!

Yep. First year of this may not have truly had 12 teams worthy of a spot, that’s gonna happen. There’s going to always be a team people feel deserved a spot and go “See I told you?!?!” when the team that replaced them doesn’t perform.

I don’t think the committee got this years teams wrong based on records and the parameters they set. There’s really only just a few of the teams in the mix this year that feel talented enough to win it all. That’s true of any sport at any level.

I would love the 🦆 to win that one.
Oregon has proven they can best OSU and I will be pulling for Oregon to do it again.

I do think if OSU plays their A Game,no one can beat them.

They have bought themselves the best team in College Football and MORE POWER TO THEM!

They have done nothing wrong in this ANYTHING GOES current state of College Football.

If anything, this shows that maybe Michigan should have been in the playoffs instead. I kid, I kid!

So much for “strength of schedule” or whatever. (By the way, Alabama, that only matters if you actually win…)
The real USC was 2-0 against the SEC. And did not Michigan beat them......? And we all know football is totally transitive!!!! :jester:

SEC standings.

1. USC 2-0 1.000
2. Texas 7-1 .875

We're Alabama. We have a divine right to the playoff.
(snicker Snicker.)

Indiana 20
Michigan 15.

Not from this year but still fun.

It's always a good year when Navy beats Army.

Alabama is headed into another era of mediocrity similar to the "Mike's Era" of Mike Dubose followed by Mike Price followed by Mike Shula.

Bama fans got to experience 6 National Championships in 12 years-something no fan base had ever experienced and will never happen again in College Football.

Deboer is in over his head with a terribly undisciplined program.

No one dominates forever-it won't be long until beating Bama is no big deal.

Turn out the lights the Bama party is over.

Penn State is letting Boise hang around.

Wouldn't mind seeing an upset or at least a nail biter.
