Next New England Event.....

Storrowtown Tavern is a really nice place to eat - a little pricey too, so be prepared. I didn't look to see which building the show is in, but will ahead of time. Linda, are you staying the night at the "inn?" ....or 2 nights?
Looking forward to spending money, oops time with you all!!

Looking forward to spending money, oops time with you all!!

TOO funny! It does seem that way, doesn't it?

One night max, thank you, innkeeper ;) I might even try to do it with no nights away. Ski season's over and dh gets lonesome:confused3

Now, there's a fly in the ointment for me :( We have to go to Indiana to help put MIL in assisted living, and stay there for a few days to be 'on call' whil my SIL, who has been her caregiver, goes on a much needed vacation. There's a chance we may not be back in time for this event. I won't know until Memorial Day or later. DARN IT!

Linda, I understand, family comes first. Keep us post as you know.

If that restaurant is pricey, perhaps we should just see what is available inside the venue.

I agree- family does come first!! I truly understand that one. Linda - I hope that all goes well for your mil, being a caregiver can be as challenging as being the patient, especially on an emotional level.
Lisa - I think Linda sent along a link to their menu at Storrowton, so you can check it out. I am still in for Sat or Sun.

What I've done with the group I've gone with in the past is pack a lunch. One person brings a cold main dish (marinated chicken of some sort), one person brings a salad of some sort, one person brings a dessert, and I got to bring paper products (they know my cooking abilities). We bring a cooler and leave it in the van until we are hungry and then sit and eat. Each person brings their own beverage or buys at the venue.

I think the food is along the lines of something you'd get at a ball game, hot dogs, burgers, fries, fried dough, etc.

Thanks for the food review, Jennifer. Bringing a picnic lunch sounds ideal. Caroline, what do you think?

I'm in - sounds like a great idea! Should be easy to coordinate who is bringing what.
We're still on for Saturday, right? I now have a bridal shower for Sunday, June 6th.

Yes, we are doing Saturday. I'll talk to the other ladies about lunch.
