Hey,

When did some of you send out your newsletter's (info before the save-the-date invites)?

Thanks

We're going to send out the newsletter with the Save the Dates and I ordered the free postcards from Vista and made them into Pre-RSVP cards. We'll be sending them out in September.

My thinking was the Save the Date really announces our plans, and the newsletter is to help answer the questions that people will obviously have. Just made sense to send them together.

Our wedding is December 8th. We confirmed our date in early April, and sent Save the Dates, Newsletters and "Pre-RSVP Questionnaires" all together in mid-/late-April, soooo, about 7 1/2 months before the wedding. It may be a little early, but I had started to get a lot of questions all of a sudden.

The thing is my certain family members need at least a yr or more anticipation due to their jobs. So, I don't know if to send it before the save the dates or just send it to those family members? What would you do?

Thanks again,:thumbsup2

I am just doing ours - a year in advance and before the save the dates.
This is becasue we don't get the date until 8 months out, and people need more time and info to book transatlantic flights / make holiday decisions etc. I also felt that there were a lot of little budget tricks and a handy hints that we'd picked up that would help people choose what to book, and they could already book holidays if they want to (ours is booked already)
