I haven't read this entire thread but I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I rode Mission: Space last year (I am in good health) and it ruined my whole day. I couldn't ride any other attraction afterwards. Its horrible. My DH rode it twice and had no issues with it.

I have lost a little respect for Disney after this. They closed down Alien Encounter (one of their best attractions) becuase it scared a few kids. Yet 2 people died on M:S and they leave it open. Something is not right with this.

This is getting ridiculous! Fine, lose all the respect you want but statements like "2 people died on M:S and they leave it open." are idiotic and irresponsible. Read the reports! Get educated before you start spouting off. You're making a link the medical examiner a person far more educated, knowlegable and an authroity to speak on this subject, did not make!

Hmm that is a good question... People die from over indulging of Alcohol... I wonder when these unfortuant deaths will bring an end to the production of alcohol?

People die because of medical emergancies that happen while driving (a lot more than have died sometime after riding MS) when will the Feds discontinue the use of automobiles.

The ride is not the cause, it is being charged guilty by association.

princess aurora,

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

<It is two very unfortunate incidents that occurred on or around the same ride>

Now how many deaths consist of an "unforunate incident" BEFORE you think WDW should look into this.

<The point IS the MS ride specifically is not the problem in these two cases>

That comment was to apease the people on ehere who feel it is NOT the problem. Maybe these two people has conditions that were set off by going on the ride, but either way, the ride has issues and just as the auto industry makes safety changes to their vehicles, maybe WDW needs to make some safety changes regarding this attraction. At least look into it. To say there is no blame at all on the attraction is CRAZY.
PLEASE, stop defending an attraction that Obviously WDW will have to look into. Two people went on that ride. Two people came off that ride and then died. You still think that MS had NOTHING to do with it??

Mods ~ I should hope that two of the three most recent posts are not within the rules & regs of the Dis forum?
