News: Disneyland Hotel Villas to have Resale Restrictions

Construction does appear to be low cost, and was surprised to see they’re going prefab. Hopefully it’ll look good when finished.
All longhouses except the 3 poly dvc buildings - the GCH, and the utility building were built as prefabs back in the early 70s so they are continuing the tradition.

How is there no pricing released with all this information? It is less than two weeks away. Really poor business practices by Disney

Sales will want to control the release of pricing and incentives. Call their waiting lists with the info.

The pricing itself is expected and I imagine they're overestimating for MFs and it won't increase that much over the next few years like RIV/CCV has but that transient tax.. yikes.. that just makes me glad I bought resale AKV instead of waiting for VDH. I'd rather own VGC anyways.

My Facebook page is saying $230 point, and parking and transient tax at $2.73 a point will be additional. I wonder what the discount will be for current dvf members.

VGC resale looks like a much better product.

If I am buying VGC for that price on resale with so few years left I am not using the point elsewhere I am renting my points out or transferring them to someone to use.

I understand why you say it but I don't see it as really changing anything when VGC resale can't stay at the new resort so in the end unlike WDW you don't have added flexibility to stay somewhere else with owning VGF Resale vs RIV Resale.

West coast DVC owners really get the shaft with the resale restrictions. Sell and both of them have to have buyers that are willing to take the chance they will get in when they want. With another resort added to the resale restriction mix perhaps DVC is going to add the pay up to make the points unrestricted.

is it 2.70 cents for transient tax and parking combined? or is parking additional as well? this just feels crazy

2.70 would also change right over time? Its based on some number I would suspect? So in 10 years its like 4?
