Im just trying to get my head round the Admirals Floor in Newport Bay

Im right that there is a kettle provided in the rooms arent I? Is this guaranteed that we will get one or does it depend on availibility - I usually take my own but if Im going to get one theres no point. Do you also get cups? Are they real cups or paper ones?

Ive also got in my head that there is wifi in the rooms on Admirals floor- is this correct or have I dreamed it?

Isit free or through orange as in other hotels?

Thanks

When we stayed on the Ad. Floor, we were given a voucher for a coffee/tea basket, which after a phonecall to reception consierge brought upto the room along with a kettle. :)

Not sure about the wifi question, but I thought it was available in all Admiral Floor rooms at a cost, might be wrong though.

Paper cups BTW.

The kettle was already in the room when I stayed a couple of weeks ago, along with a little caddy with some teabags and some sugars. 2 paper cups were there too. We also got a voucher for the tea and coffee basket which is brought to your room, which had about 4 sachets of Nescafe in, some UHT milks, sugars and some more teabags. It came in a nice Donald cardboard box which DS loved, and took home with him. The basket was 8 euros if you bought it from reception.

There was also a coffee machine in the room, which you could supposedly buy special capsules for, with the first 3 free, but I never really enquired about that.

We found it was so hot, we were constantly drinking cold drinks to cool down, so only used a handful of cappuccino sachets we took out with us, despite taking 2 boxes full! That was a good tip from somebody, by the way (can't remember who) to take a roller case full of snacks and drinks - it saved us a fortune, and gave us a case to bring all the rubbish - sorry vital holiday keepsakes - back with us.

Can't answer about WiFi though, sorry.

Nice to hear that the little perks seem to be creeping back into the Admiral's Floor, I adore the NPB, so this is really good news. :goodvibes

Oh a coffee machine?! oh that sounds good! i love my coffee:love:

i wonder if these are in every Admirals rooms! i hope so:)

The Admirals floor rooms do have a kettle but paper cups which can burn your fingers and don't leave your spoon in there, it melts! The wi-fi is 1 hour or 3 hours (have 90 days to use it so lasts all holiday) the 3hr one cost 10 euros and buy a card from the shop for it and yes its through orange.

You get breakfast in the quieter restaurant too if you are on the admirals floor so no queue for breakfast. Nice afternoon tea too between 4 and 5. Your cases are kept at the side of concierge desk too once you've checked out so you don't have to take them outsidde like everyone else.

Not always - I tried to do this (wasted 10 minutes to queue as well) and was told to take them outside. The rest of the family had already gone off to breakfast, leaving me to struggle with 4 bags outside on my own, with no help from the hotel staff - wasn't impressed with their customer service on that instance (although I have to say the rest of the time they were top notch in the hotel - must have had a bad woman on the concierge desk that morning).
