Newby question???

I am waiting in the process of closing on a resale at VWL. My points won't be available, however, until March 2004. Does anyone know if, once a member of DVC, I can pay cash for nights at any of the DVC resorts before I have my points? Is that more economical than buying points from another members?

Yes, you can pay cash to rent at DVC resorts- sometimes with a 25% Member's discount, but often at full rack rates. You will likely find renting from another member much more economical as the discounted rate is not always available.

You should be aware that even though you may not get any points from your resale until March, 2004 you can borrow those points for a trip prior to that time and may not have to pay cash at all.
