Newbie

I use Weight Watchers and love it. It is a lifestyle change rather than a diet so you are more likely to keep the weight off. I also subscribe to the slow & steady method and never feel deprived. It is so much more fun putting the weight on than taking it off though.:rotfl2:

Hi there! Welcome!

I was at one time following Atkins. Still resort to the lowering of my carbs healthy carb choices when I really get on my game. I still need work in that area for sure though.

I also use sparkpeople.com to help me know how to keep a good balance in anything I eat and to help me make better choices.

Good luck to you. Try to not think of the "D" word. Think more like lifestyle of healthy choices. Look for easy quick success goals. You will find good results if you can make a success for your journey.

:welcome: Mary Beth to WISH!

i like Weight watchers too, though I do "on my own" without and official membership. also participating in the upcoming fall 'friendly' Biggest Loser challenge right here

thanks everyone for the welcome. i have decided to use the WW plan. As some of you said it is a lifestyle change and that seems to fit best into my lifestyle.

I am planning on going to meetings starting next thursday night(sept 10).

WISH me luck!!!!
