Newbie totally lost in this....

So I'd like to surprise my wife and 6 yr old daughter (when the trip happens) in December with custom shirts for our first trip...There are soooo many posts I'm getting lost or I'll admit it confused, where do I go to see the designs? I'd love to get each of us a shirt made with our names (Rob,Jenn & Addison) with something like "Montgomery Family First Disney Trip 2013" or such..can someone walk a complete newb through this if they have the time ?

Hi there! I'm fairly new myself, so I can't promise that I know it all. BUT I can tell you where to start...

There are "stickys" at the top of the listed threads when you click on the DISigns board. You will want to read through those before you request and DISign. Here are a few must-reads...

How to ask for DISigns, tips, FAQs and guidelines
and Meet the DISigners

Read through the first two threads. Then you can go to the third one I mentioned (Meet the DISigners). All the DISigners are listed with their links. You'll have to go through those threads to see what they have created and find a DISign you like. This thread also tells you what each DISigner speacializes in so you can request the design from the correct DISigner.

I hope that helps a little bit. I'm still trying to figure it all out too. I do know that all the DISigners on here are amazing and do this in their "free time" because they love doing it. So, it's great that your looking into this now instead of last minute (like me!). And what an awesome surprise for your wife & child!! They'll LOVE it!

There are some DISigners that have not added a profile yet. It helps to look for threads on the first page or two of the forum and look for ones that have many posts. This will show that the threads are active and many requests have been completed or are in the process of being completed in that thread.

Also note that most DISigners want you to read post #1 of their request threads so you know how to format a request. For example, many of us do NOT take requests via PM and it will be spelled out there...
