DF and I would love to see WWOHP... But DF does not handle crowds well and the lines worry me a bit with him....

Recommendations on the best month / week are highly appreciated. We need to put in for vacation time soon :goodvibes

September after Labour Day is great. November but not around Thanksgiving is good as well as early December.

Just look at times when there are no holidays and the crowds will be pretty low (not October).

You might want to steer clear of July and January too since those months are so popular with the big tour groups. People who dislike waiting in line seem to get more annoyed with these groups sometimes.

I have been doing trips to DW & Universal & I always go about 2 weeks before Memorial Day. Cost is better & crowds are not an issue. School is still in session & most people are holding out @ that time for summer vacation:woohoo:

September -- but of course if you stay on-site it doesn't really matter as long as you don't pick Christmas or spring break. Staying on site would give you unlimited express everywhere except WWOHP with early entry there. Express helps immensely in completely avoiding the big lines! :goodvibes

We have been the first week of October, the second weekend of November and was just there last weekend (Jan 28 - Feb 1). The tour groups were there in Jan but nothing like I have seen at WDW and nothing that can't be handled. All three times we have been was great weather with low crowds. Only part of the park that was even a little crowded was WWoHP on Sunday. Went back on Monday and wait time never went over 30 min. :thumbsup2

Early February and probably late September will be your best bets. I was just at the parks on Friday and Universal was a ghost town. IOA was more crowded but nothing like the summer months, with the heaviest crowd in WWOHP. Aside from the Hippogriff coaster having an unusually high wait (longer than Forbidden Journey) the crowds were tolerable and I was able to get into the wand shop for the first time since the place opened.

We are only going to WWOHP during our trip. Would staying on site be helpful or important dealing with crowds :confused3

We were originally going mid June but maybe that won't work :confused3

End of Sept or early Oct is out due to work...

Sounds like mid Nov would be our best bet if we can get it off.

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

We literally just got back Thursday. We were at Universal Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday we did IOA and Harry Potter and there were no lines or very short lines. We got to the park on Tuesday at 1. Granted we were there on a MAW trip BUT I always take note of line time. On the FJ there was less than a 10 minute wait and for the deuling dragons is was also less than 10 minutes. The last two weeks in January and First 2 in February are generally some of the slowest times of the year for both Universal and Disney.
