I hope I'm asking this in the right area! I have some questions about the FW cabins. I'm just trying to figure out if we could make this work with 4 adults and 2 kids.

I'm looking at a map of the resort on Allears, and it looks like there is a pool with a comfort station right by the 2500 loop. Is that a full comfort station with showers? I'm thinking with 4 adults, that could be helpful to have an extra option for someone to run over and take a shower.

Also.. we would definitely need to rent a golf cart. If we were to arrive on a Sunday afternoon, and would be leaving the next Sunday (at the crack of dawn for an early morning flight...) would that be an 8 day cart rental? I'm thinking we would need it that last morning to get our luggage over to the ME stop... or do they have "bell services" like the other resorts that would help with that? If they do have bell services, I'm thinking we could just wait until Monday morning to rent the cart, and then turn it in Saturday evening. Would that be considered a 6 day rental?

Also, can you squeeze more than 4 people on the carts? We would have 4 good sized adults, and then a 5 and 7 year old that are both small for their ages. It seems dumb to rent a second cart, so if it is just impossible or unsafe, DH and I could walk and the Grandparents and kids can take the cart.

Thank you!

The cabin pool only has bathrooms no showers. There are showers in the CS near the 2100 cabin loop. A path from the 2100 loop goes to the CS which serves the 1100 loop. If you had a cabin near the end of the loop you would be near the path.
When you check in ask for a ride to your cabin, they have vans for this service. You can request a pick up the day before you leave at the desk and they will come and get you.

2100 loop is the best. There is a path that actually goes from the cabin loop to the comfort station.

Rent your golf cart from Kenny from T Time. I believe you can find his number in the FAQ section. He is cheaper.

I know that it isn't right but we squeezed in 5 adults and one 5 year old in a 4 person cart. We would put the 5 year old in the front and we would jam in everywhere else. Quite funny. But it is uncomfortable. But you can do a few trips too.

We could walk to the pool from Loop 2100. So that is another advantage. (the pool with the slides).

We had loop 2100 with 5 adults and 1 kid. We never had to use the comfort station. I would take my showers at night. I like to be clean before bed. My MIL would too. So then it would be just 3 of them in the morning.

You should be easily able to get the 5 yo in the front seat of the 4 person GC. We get two adults and a small teen in ours all the time...although the small teen is getting bigger.

Also there is a google map of the Fort in a sticky at the top of this forum. Holds a ton of detailed infor on the Fort layout.

Thanks for the info!

We're used to staying at POFQ, which is a very small resort. My parents both have some mobility issues, and I know would have problems with the size of this resort. Are you able to take the golf carts pretty much anywhere you would need to go? I'm thinking bus stop, boat launch, and main food builiding.

We spend most of our time at the parks. At POFQ, we would normally get a connecting room with my parents. We've traveled with them quite a bit, and none of us really have any privacy issues. With that said, do you think we would feel completely on top of each other in one of the cabins?

You can take them more places then a car. There is GC parking everywhere. :).
