First time Disney cruisers!

Will likely only do Pirate museum on Nassau excursion. Does anyone recommend hauling umbrella strollers for 4 and 5 year olds that don't love walking?

We just walk off on CC, no tender, right?

If we want to do Palo dinner we have to choose a dinner rotation to skip. Which one would you recommend missing? Does my husband have to wear a tie for Palo dinner?

Thanks!

I brought my DD3 and DD4 to St. John and I wish we had brought the umbrellla strollers. They were exhausted and wanted to be carried a lot. But they are a problem to lug around, especially with everything else we were carrying.

You can borrow a stroller with a $100 deposit from DCL (go to guest services).

Correct, no tender to CC.

Palo dress is jacket for dinner. Everone I saw there for dinner also wore a tie.

Good luck and have a good time.

If I had to skip a restaurant to get to Palo, I would skip Animator's Palate. While the food was good everywhere, I thought the AP show was very overrated. On the otherhand, I have heard most people prefer to skip Parrot's Cay if they need to skip one, and that was my favorite.

Palo is definitely worth skipping a restaurant for.

A followup. If I were only going to sit through one dinner with my 4 and 6 year old boys, which would be the most entertaining for them? I was thinking maybe AP because of the color change thing but wondered if others had opinions. How soon do colors change? Another option is checking kids into club after our appetizers. Thanks.

You might consider going to Palo after your dinner with the children. This works best with early seating. Let the kids eat dinner, you have a cocktail/appetizer and then the kids go to the clubs and you enjoy adult only Palo

I thought about that but thought I might get tired of so much sitting time. I would also have to skip a show. Anyone have thoughts as to the "best" show for boys age 4 & 6 to skip? (ie the one they would like the least and prefer going to kids club instead). Its only 3 nights, I don't want to ditch them too much. I'm hoping the shows are more entertaining for kids than some other cruises I've done. Thanks for all your input.

My DD4 LOVED the show on the last night - so did I. It is fantastic! She is sick with an ear infection right now so I'm a little sleep deprived and can't recall the name, but I'm sure somebody else on here will....it's the one with Peter Pan and Tink - with a lot of other characters! The finale to this show is wonderful! I would not miss it :earsgirl:

If I had to miss a show - it would probably be the Golden Mickey's...but that's not to say it wasn't good...just not our favorite.

I agree with you that it's only a 3 day cruise and I wanted her with me most of the time. She was only in the club while we were in Nassau because I knew she would enjoy that a lot more than walking around the island...which she did! She loved it as a matter of fact - great decision ;)

Regardless of the choices you make - you will have a WONDERful time!! Enjoy every mintue - it does go quickly :(

My Dad and DH neither wore a tie to Palo's. They wore dress slacks and button down shirts. They were fine dressed that way.

My kids 6 and 9 loved the Pirate Museum! A stroller might be good for you as your kids are a bit younger than mine. It's about a 10 minute walk or so from the ship.

Their favorite restaurants were AP and PC. They did not care for Triton's much at all. That would be the one I recommend you skip.

We all liked Disney Dreams and loved Golden Mickeys. Didn't care much for Hercules. It had some adult humor that goes over the kids' heads anyway.

Have Fun on your cruise!

My least favorite restaurant was tritons and my least favorite show was Hercules, I actually fell asleep during it!!
