When making a DVC ressie, either for 11 month or 7 month window, when you call 11/7 months from your first day of check in, can you book your entire stay, or do you need to call each day as you go along? I just read an old post on another site regarding this and am a bit confused...

If you call exactly 11 months out from date of arrival, you can book up to 7 nights, same for 7 month window. If you want an eighth night, you have to call the next day and add it.

Thats exactly what I thought. Has it always been that way? I read in another post that you had to call for 7 days if you wanted 7 nights at that 11/7 window.
I figured that this would be an easy one to answer for those DVC Vets, thanks!!

yep - rules used to be different. it used to be based on checkout date, IIRC.

Check-in date rule has been around only a couple years. Prior to that you could call 11 months in advance of "check-out" date and book entire trip. Many, particularly for Christmas time, would call and book one night (meaning check-out would be the 11 months from day of call) and then keep calling day by day to add each night and then link all the ressies at the end of calling to make one ressie.
