newbie needs help

My family will be flying in 11/21 and staying at HRH. What is the best way to get from airport to hotel. We stayed at disney 3yrs. ago and got on a shuttle bus as part of a package deal but don't see this option for US. Also how warm is the weather down there usually during Thanksgiving week? Should we buy a meal package deal? I have my wife and 2 boys ages 11 and 8 with me. Can't wait to get there!

Read my trip report in the trip report sections.We took Mears to the resort for the 1st and last time.We were in the van for well over an hour.It took us over 2 hours from landing until we got to the resort and we only had carryons with us.Spend the money and use *********** towncar service,I wish we had done this on this trip.

There are various town car services...we booked airport transportation through the concierge at the HRH. The service is Destination MCO. There are a couple others that I've seen online but being unfamiliar with the area businesses I went with the one they recomended.

We took a towncar company, with a quoted trip rate, recommended on these boards on last trip from POP to HRH then to the airport. POP to HRH was fine but HRH to airport got into an argument over the agreed fare (the guy was nasty about it) - luckily DH had the email on his BB - obviously no tip - then the guy got into an argument over the no tip and said it was guaranteed 18%. Bad way to end the trip.

Anyway, point to this being don't just take "recommended" take "recent experiences" and keep a copy of your quote if you choose to do this.

For this reason, this time we will just take a cab from AKL to PB then cab to airport.

I hear what you are saying about recomendations, but the girl at HRH made the ressies and all for us. I assume it is a company they do bussiness with and would hope the company would value thier bussiness enough to have good service. We actually booked a limo and typically the service is good...

I'm sure all will be fine, just giving all a heads up in regards to what happened with us. First time we did towncar all was fine, like anything we tend to post the bad stuff not the regular stuff.

Just got back last night and took a cab both ways from MCO to HRH. Cost between $41 to $44 plus tip. Definetely think this was the way to go if you have 3 to 4 people in your group that can fit into a cab. If Mears shuttle is$18 a person than I think I saved over $50 both ways.
